I'll mention it to the MW at my next appointment and see if I can get some physio or anything to try and stop it getting any worse. In the meantime, I'm following my sisters' advice on minimising walking, keeping knees together etc to try and minimise it.
DD woke up with a raging temperature at half midnight last night, but then slept for the rest of the night. The snotty portion of her cold seems to have passed finally, so she doesn't need help to wipe her nose/face which is why she's been waking. We were doing snufflebabe ointment and olbas on a hanky, but the poor thing was just waking up 2/3 times a night absolutely covered in yucky thick snot. She's bright as a button this morning and I feel like a zombie!
Poor LO, hopefully that's the end of it and you can get some sleep. Hopefully your physio department is less busy than our area, we were told if we get pain, let the midwife know and your be put on the waiting list but no guarantee someone would be able to see you as the list is so long. That was at the early pregnancy physio antenatal class, it was quite good with useful tips to prevent pains.0 -
See you in 3 weeks saffagal! Congratulations on your graduation, the final stretch!0

Littlesnuggy at least you can prepare for a specific date. Is this your first? I recorded the heartbeat the first time as my OH wasn't there - love listening to it over and over. Got a midwife appointment on Monday.0

Yes, first baby! (Second pregnancy, had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in April but very fortunately conceived again end of June).
Next time I see the midwife I might try and record the heartbeat so DH can hear it and I can listen back - great idea.
In my mind I have this picture of getting to my planned induction date, calmly sending to dog off to the dogsitter, DH driving us to the hospital and everything going hunkydory with no surprises. We'll see if it pans out like that in 16 weeks :rotfl:
Is yours a routine midwife appt? I had one at 16 weeks but the next one isn't until 25 weeks. So glad I get to see consultants every 2 weeks otherwise I think I'd feel a bit lost going so long with nobody taking any notice of what was happening!0 -

That's lovely you conceived so quickly after. I can't imagine how scary a MC must be. I've been terrified throughout my pregnancy with no found reason other than the unknown.
I only saw the consultant once at 9.5 weeks and my next appointment is at 41 weeks so hopefully baby will be here by then. It's just a routine appointment, had my scan last week and saw the midwife 2 weeks before that (was meant to be earlier) so a lot going on but nothing really to report!
I know a girl who had a recent section due to her age and it seemed to go calmly. Hopefully it'll be like the above senario heehee.0 -
Morning all
Hope everyone had a nice weekendWe're moving house tomorrow so spent the weekend packing/sorting while DD stayed at her grandma's overnight. I'm exhausted, but I have to work all week as I've no holiday left to take
DH is off all week so he'll have to sort everything out by himself! I'll be glad when we're all settled in, and can start to get ready for the new arrival
My bump seems to have popped out further over the weekend, it looks huge this morning! Plus baby has been very active - we went to the cinema on Saturday night, and I was getting kicked every time the bass speakers kicked in!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Sorry to jump on this thread, I am only 7+1 and usually hanging out on the first trimester thread. I have spent the last 3 days feeling much less sick than I felt last week, still tired and achey but wondered if any of you ladies had experienced a downturn in nausea but went on for it to be OK? I should be delighted that I feel a bit better but of course, I'm worrying that something is wrong.
Last pregnancy I just felt sicker and sicker each day until 15 weeks (but didn't feel tired at all).
Sorry for gatecrashing!0 -
Hi Monneypenny
Mine went up and down both times, I had days of being fine/faintly queasy, and days where I couldn't keep anything down. For me it got worse and worse up to about 13 weeks and then stopped overnight this time, 16 weeks with my first. With my miscarriage earlier this year I didn't have any sickness at all. Hope that helps, I think symptoms are so varied that anything can cause you to worry in this early phase xxLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Thanks LittleMoog for the reassurance, its such a worrying time (and gets no better once they arrive!). I'm hoping the fact that I'm exhausted this time means the hormones are working hard to wear me out instead of making me feel sick. I guess I should be happy that I'm having a slight reprieve
(I'm sorry to hear you had a miscarriage too xxx :A)0 -
Hi Moneypenny,
I'm nearly 23 weeks now so thankfully the nausea and sickness is behind me, but when I did have it mine definitely came and went! It was really bad for weeks 6-8, then stopped completely for about a week or so - I was the same as you are now, both worried and pleased at the same time! It came back with a vengeance at about 9.5 weeks and stayed pretty much constantly (some days were better than others but I always felt sick to some extent) until around week 16 when it finally tailed off.0
