Yodel Can't Cope And Suspend All Collections

I suppose it depends how much of the backlog they've cleared by Monday and how many people are holding onto orders to send out next week.harveybobbles wrote: »Seems like its all ok now.. Just make a booking on P2G and was offered Yodel - saying colelction Monday 15th if booked within next 58 hours.
If a huge amount is sent on Monday adding to whatever remains from this week they could be snowed under again.0 -
If you're sending Valentine gifts there's a good chance they'll get there on time, otherwise I'd give them a swerve.harveybobbles wrote: »Seems like its all ok now.. Just make a booking on P2G and was offered Yodel - saying colelction Monday 15th if booked within next 58 hours..0 -
Do yodel delivery people really get paid so little? No wonder the service stinks.0

Not just Yodel having problems - collect+ and Hermes are too! Still waiting two weeks for a 2 day delivery from Hermes! Collect+ still have yet to deliver my return ( says it's been despatched from depot on Tues 9th, but who knows where it is now!). Keep your tracking numbers people - this looks like a compensation may be on the horizon!Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0

Collect Plus uses Yodel. My Hermes had a fire at their warehouse which caused machinery to break down. They apparently are struggling with the Black Friday parcels too.
Not sure if it is true but heard from two couriers for two different companies that according to Yodel couriers, Yodel refused to take on any extra staff this Christmas. Just a rumour though.0 -
Last time I spoke to anyone about it, they were getting 50-60p per parcel they handled, although it wasn't the best source it had a ring of truth to it. I'd imagine the correct vehicle insurance must be £40-£50 per week at least, that's before other running costs. It's never looked like a good proposition to me, even for the most active pensioner doing it for a bit of spending money.marking_bad wrote: »Do yodel delivery people really get paid so little? If Yodel were used to get my coffin with me in it to the funeral, they would leave a note saying that they knocked at the church door but nobody was there even though the church was full of mourners.:DThe more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!
