Site crashed for me a couple of nights ago when setting up an account.

    No email, nothing.
    Funds taken this morning.

As this was a new NS&I account, I have no reference to log in or check.

Does anyone know, or have received POST MAIL confirmation that all went through??

Same here. First (1 year) went through OK, but second (3 year) timed out after doing the "verified by Visa" check. Nothing from this at all - not even an email. But bank accounts have been debited for both applications. Although both were made using a pre-defined NS&I username, there's nothing about either - yet. Really, really poor application software!

The obvious question missing from the FAQ?

Why is it for 65+ only, and why is the government spending money to subsidise the cash rich when it supposedly in austerity.?

    Seems a vote buy.

Probably partially true, but because some of us have the cash to invest through a lot of hard work and stress (and in spite of having paid huge amounts in taxes, and suffered severe hits on our pension funds from "good old" Gordon Brown many years ago)

That`s exactly what it is after five years of crap rates because of the cheap money through their Fund for Lending supplied by the taxpayers, they think they can bribe the electorate, mainly the elderly who do make the effort to vote.
Buy the bonds and then vote against them via UKIP.
That`s the only way you`ll get a vote on in or out of the EU and emigration.
Kick the Tories up the ar*e!

Suppose you mean immigration rather than emigration? Have I missed that UKIP is now opposing (or supporting?) emigration?

Where and how do UKIP promise a vote on EU membership, or on immigration (or emigration)?
