  • hello, i used the 1st template letter, sent it off, it has just come back via royal mail as refused! so basically, my bank have received my letter, it has been opened and they have sent it back with a royal mail sticker on it and the reason it's been sent back has ticked 'refused'. how can they be allowed to do this ? and what now?

Can they (Banks) still continue with charging me penalties, although I've asked for the to be repaid? What they say (Halifax) is that they are waiting for test case to be resolved but still topping up charges on top.
As time goes by, they are rising and I've already told them that I have no intention of paying that money because such charges are unfair. I can not close my account, because I am in debt (all charges).
any clue, or way forward: I have no intention of giving them money, which I do not have, for their charges which are unfair.

Have just read an article from Megan Murphy, Law courts correspondent saying that the banks intend to appeal tomorrow against the judges decision. This case is going to drag on for ages.

question - i sent off the first letter(from template) with the £10 fee for my statements last year just before the test cases. My charges added to over 300 pounds(calculating my payments) but i didnt continue with the next stage as i was scared my bank would get rid of me & that i would be left high & dry due to a 1000pound overdraft at the time..

At this present time i would like to pursue my claim will i have to go back to the first letter for more up to date statements or am i classed as still being a claimant?

Can someone tell me how this works please? So you are advocating not having a bank account and not paying by standing order or direct debit. I wish. Where do you pay all these bills? There are no utility offices in my city center any more. I am enforced to have all my income paid into a bank account. Any sensible factual information re: how this could be done would be gratefully received.

The utility companies send you a paper bill with a tear off bit at the bottom that you fill in and hand over with the cash. this can be in a bank. I know my neighbours pay everything at the post office or there are places called All Pay shops, not sure how they work though.

Looks like this could drag on again;-

I thought part of the FSA waiver, was that both sides accepted a decision, and did not drag the case on.
