Personally I don't like pizza so don't much care about the price of a pizza or indeed how much it cost to deliver.
However I am passionate about this particular board and the people who need help with their reclaim so can we please keep this a pleasant and more importantly a helpful place to be

Hi,
Please dont bite my head off, I am new to this. Why Can the banks charge to open a bank account?
just a thought0 -
because they are offering a service .. however most every day bank accounts are currently free. Is there a particular one you are thinking of?carriejones2008 wrote: »Hi,

IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
I do like a bag of chips occasionally though especially when a handsome man is paying, like Ivan

As you like your Pizzas ask your 'mates at work' this.
Youre in your local Pizza shop and order. When the Pizza's ready you realise youre a few pence short. The Pizza man says dont worry take the Pizza and pay me the rest next time.
Next time you go in the Pizza man leans over the counter and takes £35 out of your wallet and says that for not having enough money last time. You can do nothing about it so decide to take him to court.
Before your big day in court the Pizza man goes to the Pizza adjudicator who says to the Pizza man I dont agree with you but Ill tell the courts to hold fire on this for a year or 2. In the meantime the Pizza man continues to take money out of customers wallets knowing nobody can do anything about it.
Do your 'mates' think thats fair??
The rational person in this scenario would make doubly sure they had enough money before ordering pizza, if they didnt they would go with out till they did. Maybe once they would make this mistake and become a "victim", but surely they would never do it again? Surely?
Thanks for a brilliant example that makes my point.0 -
That is where you are going wrong .. you are creditting some people with intelligence, and often when you do that they will prove you wrongjohnny_storm wrote: »Maybe once they would make this mistake and become a "victim", but surely they would never do it again? Surely?

i really want some pizza now... anyway, like above i think this has turned into an opinion forum instead of it's true purpose, which is to give advice to those who do need help to claim back the charges.
i remember coming here and posting several times for advice on claiming money from hsbc ( helluva soulless banking company ) and winning successfully all of my money and interest back. hsbc admitting they were wrong and sending me a cheque? *rubs hands*
maybe there could be a separate section on the forums page for arguing weather its wrong or not and this area for it's true purpose!?0 -

Not sure what will happen now? I put a claim in last year and then the courts wrote to me to tell me it had been 'stayed'. Do I have to wait for this whole mess in the courts to be sorted before I continue with my claim? and will the courts automatically write to me when it's sorted to tell me what is happening?0 -

I think you'll find a clue to the ''true purpose'' of this thread in it's title: 'OFT Test Case Discussion'.0
