amazon prime help

So, your prime was supposed to run out in April.
You have been given the option to pay £25 (£79 less the £54 they have given you) now to get prime until December 15. This means you get the 8 months from April 15 to December 15 for £25 which is ridiculously cheap.
But you'd prefer to give them the £54 back, have it end in April 15 and then pay £79 for a new year's membership at a substantially higher cost than what you are currently being offered?
Makes absolutely no sense.0 -

I feel sorry for you. I think you have other issues in your life that you are neglecting because of this.
Issue court proceedings.
Ok Bob, so signing a year contract and having it terminated 5 months early is acceptable behaviour?
If you paid 54.00 for extra cover on your washing machine and it broke down and the engineer said he would come Monday to fix it .
,and he didn't turn up, so you ring him and he tells you that you can have your money back and no service you would be happy ?
Would you be happy if he said I will come to see you but the contract which was supposed to cover you is null and void and you must pay £79.00 instead as it is against his policy to honour the first contract?
Meanwhile the machine is still broken. Is it acceptable for the company with which you have a contract ,withdraw a service you paid for and despite keeping your side of the deal withdraw from that contract ?
I have asked they keep the 54.00 fee and allow the agreed contract to run , why can Amazon not keep to the contract they broke ?0 -

You're typing too many words over and over again. I think people have given up.0 -

Yes , because if they cannot see the mistake and agree to one contract, then why would they stick to any contract.I want the contract to run it's course. I paid 54.00 and if I want to pay 79.00 to renew the contract in April I will.
My prime delivery came 4 days late . I had a contract until April . I had £79.00 taken from my account before I had been paid , I bought a kindle for £129.00 that needs prime to be of any real use.
If I do not re-join prime and I send the kindle back it will be a total loss to Amazon of 129 - kindle , loss of renewed membership 79.00 and the fact they didn't need to return the original 54.00. Total =262.00. What would you do if it was your business? I would keep the 54.00 and enjoy the rest of the 208 they could have.0 -

Bob , why don't you just please go away ?0 -
I don't think Amazon are enjoying your whole £208 a great deal, to be fair.
You've probably cost them more than that with the time you've taken dealing with customer services.0 -
It's ok Bob I have just checked your previous posts across the board , you don't actually believe in helping the consumer do you ? I didn't realise you had form.
Thank you again for your input.0 -
Amazon have and do close the accounts of people who they don't like or become not profitable. Not just close the prime account but completely close the customers account. I do wonder if they're giving you a hint? You need to drop this & decide is Amazon a retailer that is important to you? I think much more fuss and you could find your account completely closed.0

I asked where my parcel was.
That is it. Everything else Amazon took it upon themselves to do.What sort of business would not realise that the cancelling of the account is due to their error alone.0 -

But what you're effectively saying is that you would rather give them £54 now for 4 months membership, when instead you can give them £79 now for 12 months membership.
OK I get it. You're being stubborn because they made a mistake. But the phrase "cutting off the nose" springs to mind.
You've been offered a really good deal, and the only person who can't see that is you.
Send the Kindle back, don't renew, I can't honestly see Amazon caring. £200 is pretty small fry to them.0
