    Amazon said they realised their mistake and refunded the £79.00 and the original £54.00 paid in Jan.


    Amazon insist the only way to sort it out is to re-start and recharge me to activate the agreement we had for a years membership of prime.


    I have not had free prime as such , the reasom being that I should have had prime for a limited period of one year.


    If you complain to Amazon about poor service (late delivery , etc ) they will often extend the membership for a month. I have had this happen 3 times.


    I asked where my package was. I didn't ask to cancel my membership , I didn't ask for the £54.00 to be returned either. Amazon had no right cancelling our contract and no right to charge me for new membership either.


    It seems to me that many of you think I am lucky or 'quids in'. How many contracts do you sign , happy in the knowledge that a years contract can be terminated following a mistake ? If this had happened a month or three months or 11 months and two days into the contract , then Amazon will not admit they stopped the prime they will ,however , insist you pay for another years subscription irrespective of the part they played.

    Bob with respect you have not understood. Would you be happy if you asked where your package was and then found out you had lost your membership ? I offered Amazon the opportunity to keep the £54.00 , they want £79.00 instead. If you think having a contract terminated 5 months early and having to sign a new contract for £79.00 after not receiving your prime service you paid for is 'winning' then I don't know what you think losing is.


    All I want is my prime contract honoured. Amazon cancelled the contract instead of extending it.

    I do understand. You need to pay just £25.00 for another full year of Amazon Prime.

    I feel sorry for you. I think you have other issues in your life that you are neglecting because of this.

    You paid £54 in January.
    It is now December.
    so lets call it 10 months depending on the dates. You have had your £54 refunded with 2 months to go.
    You pay £79 now and get an 'extra' 10 months for £25.
  • He's got 2 months to rack up £54 in delivery costs, and he'll still break even.

    He also seems to be wanting a refund to the free Prime Amazon has already given him.
  • And lose 5 months of a contract terminated for no reason . If the same scenario happened two weeks into the new deal then I would be charged £79.00 to have it re-instated.
