  • Its easy to block a number, if your phone doesnt have the facility you can download a free app.

Nothing nice about being pestered, just block him.
  • Is there a volunteer coordinator where you volunteer? If so you should make them aware of this situation and maybe ask them to have a quiet word. Or perhaps consider asking them to change your volunteer times around so you aren't paired together. If you've already said it yourself then this might be the next option, depending on how much faith you have in them to manage this successfully of course.

Hundreds of ways, that take lots of energy.
One very simple one is a short message "Can my boyfriend tag along"
    Problem solved

This, it's one of the circumstances where a white lie is just easiest.

(And he'd think you were a sinner then anyways :p)

You are definitely not on each other's wavelength and I can understand your frustration that he is trying to have a relationship/friendship with you outside working hours when you are not interested but you may have taken his weird "sweet aroma of Christ" comment out of context. The whole quote is something along the lines of "we are the sweet aroma of Christ but some are lost" so as a churchy type of person he might just have been making a comment about you not being at work for 2 weeks. A bit like if you said " the wandering hero returns" you wouldn't necessarily be making a reference to military service just using a hackneyed quote.

No, don't do that - he might

    a) see it as meaning you need "saving" even more than he thinks you do already.

    b) tell everyone, including the next guy you do want to date.

I thought it might have meant he's on a mission to bring me back to the fold! Or if I rejected him, that I'm smelly.

Yes, if things get bad I'm going to move my time-slot, so I don't get interrogated about my marital status, whether I like to cook, what kind of family I came from, whether I believe in God. Just Fvck OFF!!!

2 texts and one whatsup comment do not amount to someone persistently hitting on you and comment about not being married i would seen like a friendly banter.
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

The guys probably a bit lonely and may be doing this to others, so don't take it personally.

Do ignore him, because that will work.

Do discuss your concerns with the voluntary organisation leader (others may have had the same experience) and avoid being around your admirer. If it comes to the worst make it clear that you may have to stop volunteering if you think your safety is at risk.

And don't take your eye off the ball of your thesis, whatever you do!
