Thoughts on the Honda Integra DC5?

Hi all,
Feels good to be back. For my next vehicle I'm strongly considering the Honda Integra DC5. Here is an example:

They are pretty rare but I would like advice in terms of its reliability and driving characteristics. They are FWD, but how does it affect its cornering ability? Do they under-steer quite badly or are they competent around sharp bends and turns?

I knew a guy who imported one of these from Japan said it was like being in a go kart handling wise. The Japanese versions had 217hp and weighed very little.0

Yes, all DC5s are Jap imports.
Great cars. Hold their money well. If you like the styling / image of the car, theres probably no better.0 -
Know a bloke that went from an E36 M3 to a DC2 Integra and said it handled better - so if the 5 is as good or better, must be a good car.0

They do have repuation for being rather gutless at low revs and the I know the power band is high up in the rev range for these cars but stop/start driving around town is there enough power to poodle along?0 -
Vtec's aren't low on torque, if you look at similar NA engines of same size, they often have the same or more torque.
It's just they feel slow low down compared to high up.0 -
How come people are acting like this t055er is asking a genuine question?!0

From a financial standpoint I plan on keeping the Integra DC5 for about a year and for obvious reasons would prefer to lose as little money as possible on depreciation and repair costs.
From the looks of it they have excellent residual values. It doesn't look like I should really loose any money at all when it comes to selling in a years time.
However, are there any mechanical niggles I should be aware of that affect this cars?0 -

Dunno if you can call it a niggle, but they have no rear brakes.0 -

I am asking a genuine question and just because enthusiasts/performance cars doesn't interest you, does not mean it doesn't for other people. There are members on this forum that have driven high performance cars in the past and discussing such topics are important for the people who car for such things0 -
So what happened to the M3?
The Integra will be capable of keeping up with traffic, and will handle fine within the confines of safe road driving. Mechanically it should be pretty reliable too if you look after it.
It's just a step down from an M3 spec wise though.0
