Never made it to KK, trip gambling wise has been a disaster, seriously thinking of calling it a day, we have lost big every single session.

Nascar was fun yesterday and HOT...I did win 30 dollars backing the winner (harvick).

Now at Rio in a 1600 sq ft suite it is awesome
just sit at a bar and feed $20 into the video poker. Drinks will flow and if playing jacks or better your $20 will last you a couple of hours. That's our way of slowing things down when it gets tough at the tables and slots.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
  • Hi I'm going first week of May and have a few questions if the kind people on here can help :)

First question is about show/gigs. Are there any must-see shows? I'm open minded. I went around 5 years ago and Lemmy was playing in a bar at Mandalay Bay an acoustic set. Just wondered whether or not there are any sites that advertise these types of low key gigs?

I did the MGM all day buffet last time which was excellent value. Just wondering if anybody can recommend any please? Also if there is a site with up to date costs as I'm struggling to find one from Google.

Finally for now, we're staying in the Stratosphere. Can anybody offer any general advice, whether it be travel or whatever about staying there please? I've read the area is a bit dodgy!
    Thanks!

    we normally check

    http://www.lvol.com/events/vegas_concerts.html

    for shows

And https://www.lasvegasadvisor.com has a good section on buffets with prices. We quite like the Station Casinos buffets, Silverton, Aria (thought it has gone down a bit in quality, we think). Wicked Spoon at Cosmo is good but a couple of us found the food wasn't as hot as we might prefer and the selection is a bit smaller than some others. We also like Paris for breakfast but haven't been in ages.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
  • Regarding concerts, we just miss John Cooper Clarke which I am gutted about.

Our holiday is shaping up nicely now with 4.5 weeks to go.
All the talk about Luxor has resulted in us booking our first 2 nights there (Sunday & Monday) – via myvegas.
Hotels.com has it at £178.00. Fancied Orlenas, but they are £149.00.

I am off to Vegas in 2 weeks (first visit) and intend to return next year with my sons who will both be over 21. I would like to join M life as we are staying in the Vdara but cannot seem to join online. I have put my email and date of birth in but it will not validate and is asking me to ring.

Rather than me ringing the USA can you sign up for M Life when in Vegas and how easy is it?
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

It's easy to sign up once you're there. Just go to an Mlife desk with ID and sign up. You should start playing MyVegas and also do Social Rewards if you intend to go back next year. You will need to join Total Rewards (Caesar's properties) for Social Rewards.

You could always try Tony's method of gambling. You wouldn't lose too much then. ;-)

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:wish it was that easy

A bit late now, we are home.

Have never sat at the bar tho, are the drinks still $1 if you are playing VP?

As lesley says its easy, will take a couple of minutes with ID at the Mlife desk.
There are cheap ways to call if you want to from 0.5p a minute using the international callchecker or less using the number that Stuie posts. or free if you have one of the skytalk packages
  • Hi, I'm going in a few months and was looking at tours/trips. I have found the ones below which seem good, can anybody please recommend a helicopter tour/Grand Canyon tour and also a shooting a gun experience please?
