I'm in Vegas right now and have a groupon for the steakhouse at The Riviera. Probably would not have gone to it otherwise but pleased I am now.
we did the same last trip, quite enjoyed it. the crab cakes were really good. And they have free wifi in the restaurant too.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
It was me who posted up about calling 0161 311 3111 as a route to dial a US number working out for free (if using housephone or mobile)...
But they changed it now to an 0845 number, so it costs 0.5p per min to call.
I booked my rooms in 8 minutes with myvegas and it cost 5p for the call
Room bookings for myvegas, it states on the reward how many of the bonus nights u can use...
Currently looking at http://callsdiscount.com/uk/index.htm and USA is still the 0161 number. Am I missing something, or is it possible it has change back?0 -
Can anyone help with car hire please?
I'll be picking up in San Fran and returning to LAS before flying onto New York.
Found a good deal with Avis (UK site) but it's not at all obvious whether they charge a one way drop off fee or not. Does anybody know to save me a phone call?
Likewise, seen rentalcars.com and usrentacar.co.uk mentioned on here, do they charge extra for one way drop offs between California and Nevada?0 -
It will depend on the company you collect the car from. Best confirm with whoever you book through though as they may even have different terms as well.
I know Dollar don't have a one way fee between CA/NV/AZ. I'm sure a girl I work beside used Avis a few times and said the same for them. You don't want to get stung with a fee.
Which agent was cheapest, and what company would you collect the car from? I know I have a contact at rentalcars.com, I could get you his email address if you wanted to drop them a note to ask.0 -
Regarding calling myVegas / USA on the 0161 311 3111, we have just done it on a payg mobile where we buy a bundle which gives us 100 minutes per month. It used the minutes from the bundle and none of the credit on it.
2 weekend nights in Mandalay Bay booked. Only another 12 nights to sort out.0 -

Thanks, at the moment Avis UK site is coming out cheapest so I'll contact them tomorrow and pass on the info incase it helps anyone else out. If there's an extra charge I'll be looking at rentalcars.com0 -
According to what I've read online (so by no means certain) you should be able to avoid a one-way car rental drop-off fee between any two cities in California, Nevada and Arizona provided you book through an agent outside of the USA.
Have you tried Alamo? I've used them many times and generally been satisfied."Such an enormous country, you realize when you cross it" - Jack Kerouac0 -

This hasn't been true, in my experience...rented through CH3000 / rentalcars.com a few years ago - I cannot remember who the rental ended up being with, Hertz or Avis. They confirmed the one-way fee and I called to ask about options. They moved me to another supplier without a one-way fee for a small amount extra.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Anyway, it's worth searching around just in case."Such an enormous country, you realize when you cross it" - Jack Kerouac0 -
