also - Valley of Fire - we went a few years ago and have zero recollection of how long the trip took.
Downtown Las Vegas to the park is about fifty miles. Then on the return journey you can either go back the way you came to I-15 exit 75, or continue to NV169 and rejoin I-15 at exit 93.

If you're not doing any hiking then two or three hours to drive round the park and make a few quick stops seems reasonable.

I was going to say if you really must stay at bellagio and really must only go four 4 days then is the price ok for you? assuming 2 people are going
but then noticed its for 1....no way would I pay £1500 for 1 for 4 days.

Just a quick skyscanner and then lowcostusa search beats that.
Flights are £760 and hotel inc resort fee is £500.
    Just do some quick searches.
If you can live with being on different flights you could probably shave some cost.

That is correct. They have happy hour from 4 - 7pm which is good timing as the sun sets around 5.30pm for your trip.
    Thank you all who post.
  • Hi all,

Just wondering if I could tap into your masses of knowledge and ask your opinions on a quote I've received for a Vegas holiday.

Its for 2 people, 7 nights in the Bellagio (resort room), direct flights from Manchester flying on the 31st May and includes the resort fee.

The quote currently stands at £1075 per person.

As this is the first time we've been I just wanted to make sure I'm not being ripped off :o

I would agree that is odd. Also, have you tried on TR to log in with one acct, add the other as a companion and search for hotels? Maybe try one or two nights to start just to see and increase to 5. I wonder if you would have some comped nights but it doesn't look like it when blended with nights you may have to pay for?
I'll have a look at that.
TBH I'm happy to pay to stay where we do. Having a balcony, kitchen, washing machine, free gym, free wifi, and 1100 square feet of living space and a lift from the airport and back beats a couple of comped nights in a strip hotel.:T
It's just that I would like to be loved:D
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

understood...and if you did have some comped nights somewhere of interest, nothing to say you couldn't double-book them with Platinum.

although the resort fee makes that less interesting, maybe...as not truly free and no way to opt out of the resort fee...but interesting to at least see what might be available...you never know.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
  • To those of you who have restaurant.com accounts, did you sign up with a uk address or use something like 90210 and your uk address in the other fields? I bought a certificate for stripburger yesterday and had to fudge the address field so just wondered what everyone else does?
