    Where are you staying?

In days gone past you if you were chatting to the pit boss a bit you could get them to stick a couple of buffets on your players card, now its all but gone.

Remember the trick is to make them think you're a bigger player then you are, whilst not losing much!

Lastly, check out flight + hotel combos on BA. A couple of times adding a room to my flight only added £20 to the cost of the flight only (for 1 week of the hotel).

    Ok thanks for the advice
we are staying at the mgm grand,
I ve seen a few websites about comps and most seem to surggest atleast asking for a comp but being kind on the reserved side well its pretty forward for me!!
thanks for the info in regarding buying in for a good amount, it has been surggest on here a few times and it makes sense!
will do in regards checking BA.
    thanks agian for the feedback:beer:

Wow....over £900 for our dates in September in virgin sale.
It really is looking like we will have to go from Dublin.

I really don't see how they can call those prices sale price, even booking at "normal " prices we have never paid more than about £630 - £650....usually less.

We waited until Virgin xmas sale to book for the trip we took in October this year, and paid just under £600 man-las...how can over£900 be a sale price.

As said, my flight when I log into my virgin fly account shows:
    Dub-LGW with BA
    LGW-LAS with Virgin
    LAS-LGW with Virgin
    LHR-DUB with BA
    Cost: £364

When I looked at the flight on Friday which is LGW-LAS only for the same dates, the cost was £928
In the email alert I had earlier for the sale, I just done same check, and the cost is now £953 for the flight, so its a super sale ! :D:D:D:D

Am still stumped about my costs vs the LGW-LAS route alone! Do the airline charge more for the seat if starting in the UK, then the lots of taxes on top ?

    Yes.

They charge less on routes that don't start in their "home" country as an encouragement for people from overseas to fly with them. The thought process is that anyone flying from overseas via London is an increase on their numbers. Also taxes are higher on home departures.

  • Anyone just watch the Trevor Mcdonald tv programme?
I thought it was pretty decent, and always good to see images of LV.

Any of u guys checked your mlife accounts to see if u got a winter offer

I already have three nights mirage comp booked for our march trip, but now have offers for monte carlo (three nights in suite with $100 freeplay and $100 F&B credit) and luxor ($100 freeplay) in account.

We won't be switching to other offers as we have family booked into Mirage.

You, and others based NW might be interested in knowing, if you don't already, that Stobart Air, who own the airport (and Southend) have been successful in getting cash from the govt connectivity fund. That's gonna allow them to put on flights to a number of destinations but the interesting one will be Dublin. Could be as early as summer 16 but I think it'll be later.
looks like there will be a tie up with Aer Lingus to provide access to the US.
Thanks for that. I'll be interested in that if it happens.

I thought it was really disappointing to be honest, it jumped about too much and didn't have any focus / point to it.

Looks like they shot it in early summer 2015, yet the aerial video footage they used was obviously old stock footage, it didn't even have the High Roller in it! I was expecting to see the Sands and Stardust :D
