I did book it via MGM when they had a flight and hotel deal going on and got a great deal that included a show as well. We got flights from LA to Vegas organised through it which meant we could get cheap flights to LA and then a few days either side in LA then Disney.

Card was charged at the point of booking for the whole thing which was handy when rate crashed a few months later.

    hi
and thank you for your response.May i ask what sorta card you used and if you know what,if any fees were attached?
Did you know the exchange rate when booking,.i guess in theory when i have looked at the mgm its been in $, so was there someway you could know how many £s you were paying before buying it?
did you pay the resort fees when you booked, ?or at reception when chekcing in?

I guess at the moment i am looking at different options,
    thank you for your feedback

    wow!
Just logged into my Mlife account just to see what offers are there that I Can't use this year :(
    Anyway, Monte Carlo offer = 7 Nights comp ! wow !!!! :D:D
shame gotta be used before November this year! :(
Still, fingers crossed, the offers come back ready for next year!

    hi
I dunno if you getting comped was a blessing or not !:p

Do you know how many offers you get a year if i may be so nosey and ask?
is there an average of how many offers you geta year?i guess how much you have spent/what level you are at may also figure,
Have you(or any other users) used this methord to get your rooms for free(i understand you need to pay resort fees but still good!)

Also may i ask IF you can combine your comped rooms.ie if my brother and I BOTH got 3 nights comped EACH could we, in theory get the same 1 room(for 6nights) for just the payments of resort fees?
Just i noticed in april when somone mentioned the mlife website that i had gotten 3 nights comped, though i felt it was a lil too late to cancel the holiday i have booked for june this year.

    many thanks

I dunno if it was because we used a Myvegas reward maybe?, but if i recall we have a 2 for 1 thing and i recall we paying for a buffet and my brother had a few beers.I dont think we got charged any extra though for adding on a drinks package. !
    but thanks for the feedback

I have a feeling it only kicked in on 1st July - the period mentioned on one of the price lists.

I quite fancy a short trip to Vegas early next year, travelling alone and it has to be the absolute cheapest trip possible. I'm flexible with the dates any time after December. Don't mind indirect flights and only want to spend around 3 to 5 days out there.

Norwegian Airlines are flying from Copenhagen or Stockholm to Vegas & are probably the cheapest flights I've found thus-far and the whole journey could cost around £330 can that be beaten? That being said I might be willing to pay a bit more for the convenience of flying out of England.

I managed to get a cheap package from Expedia. 607£ for a week at the luxor with direct flights from Gatwick on virgin beginning of December, so you might want to have a look at them.also got £30 cash back going via quidco

Been back couple of weeks. This is the first trip in years I didn't get a car, was 4 of us and 2 kids so didn't fancy driving around in a van or getting 2 cars. Money saving then; bus is $5 for 24 hour pass, kids were free, it is a bit tricky getting around buses go north-south and east-west and you could have half hour wait if you just miss a connection, it does take a lot of time just going a few miles, but talking to and watching fellow travellers can be entertaining. $1 for a timetable on the bus. The deuce on the strip is $6 for 2 hours or $8 for 24 hours, the $5 ticket works on all the buses so don't get a $8 other 3 day 30 passes are possible as well. Taxis from airport still a rip off, had 2 and both went either the highway or tunnel which is good for them, asked for cheapest both times, Ethiopian drivers both times. Had a driver from Mesa Arizona he'd been there 3 months, Uber put him out of a job, said they charge 97c a mile, Uber are soon operating in Vegas, good, don't think they are operating from the airport though.
if you are over 50 Wednesday is a good day to visit the Orleans, easy get free buffets playing slots, and $4 cinema tickets, best way to cash in points is at the eateries. I was about $260 up on the slots, I can't be sure but think they are looser on that day. Old fashioned stuff bought a decent $12 kettle from Walmart, make a proper cup of tea when I wake up, had a fridge in a room but cool bag full of ice from the machine chills beer better. 30 bottles of bud in Walmart $12 special offer. Best burger I've had anywhere in the world is Fudruckers in the Orleans, the chips are proper chips as well big chunky ones and the food is hot unlike some other burger places, you can get the free shuttle from Caesars to the Orleans. $1 charge at ATM at casino Royale, I took $500 at a time, Something to be careful is not accept anywhere when it offers transaction in pound sterling, was 1.48 at that ATM when the rate was actually 1.56 same in shops as well.

What a great suggestion, I never thought the package would be so cheap. I've found several flight & hotel packages on the strip for under £600 and flying direct from Gatwick which is less than an hour from me.
Given that many flights I was looking at were around that price I'm quite shocked. Just gotta sell my car now.

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
