How have people found it,trying to redeem the "popular" buffet x 2 people
Rewards lately ?
We are inside of 90 days from our trip, and have been trying to get the usual Mirage buffet for 2 reward.I have been ready waiting, and constantly refreshing,at 2.55pm the last few days. After about 40 minutes I have seen nothing but sold out constantly on all popular rewards, and give up.
Never had that much of a problem getting the buffet x 2 people before.Although some of them have now been withdrawn.
Got 2 nights hotel stay...one each...a while ago,and in desperation recently got the $50 drink credit at nyny,as it was "available"... But really want a couple of buffets, like we have had on all other reward redemptions.
But this time they never change from sold out.:(0 -

hi there
When my brother and I went to vegas last month, we got our rewards late may.Like you i went for the buffets, , we got the mgm buffet for 2, the mirage* for 2 and madanlay bay 2 for 1.
If i recall i got all 3 AFTER 9pm uk time, Have you tried later on, early evening/late?
Though I got our rewards in late may 2015.
hope this helps
* p.s when we got our free mirage buffet my brothers face lit up, when the eprson told us it INCLUDED FREE beer.
being a non drinker it did not borther me either way. honest!0 -
They have changed the refresh time from a regular daily time to a random time. Try looking at other times and you may have more luck.
I have tried at all times of the day and only just managed to get the single Mirage buffets for us.0 -

Your brother has missed out....The MGM used to do free " champagne" included in their buffets until two or three years ago.Used to be one of my favourites, but the last couple of times we have had the MGM buffet,it hasn't been so good imo....it tastes slightly better if you pay the $12 extra for the booze.:rotfl:
Also I'm sure there is alcohol included in the dinner buffet at Mandalay Bay,although we have never been there to sample it.
Mirage has always been one of our favourites for a brunch, and had it quite a few times, the nice thing about the drink is you just go to the bar when you're ready for another, instead of relying on catching the servers eye....usually come out of there half cut.
Just realised, this post makes us sound like alchoholics, and we're not,honest......though I have been toying with getting the $ 31 drinks all day pass for The Rockhouse @ the Venetian.Instead of the usual price of $50.0 -

Should have added,if your brother wants a cheap way to get a few drinks next trip.Try the weekend breakfast buffet at The Main Street Station Hotel.
We stopped there last trip for the weekend,as we used to get sick of catching the SDX bus after a night on Fremont street.
For a ridiculous low price of $12 you get a reasonable buffet, and as much "sparkling wine" as you can drink.
After about 8 glasses last trip, the lady tending to us came over, asked if we wanted another, and as we replied yes please.she just left the freshly opened bottle on our table....I came out of there ashamedly !!!!ed for such an early time of the day.:o
We are booked for the weekend downtown again this time,so I will have to learn how to say No Thank You after a few.:beer:0 -

hi and thanx for the feedback,Sorry i did forget to say we did get the mandalay bay alcohol included when we went, though I have a bad memory and cant remeber if it was for lunch of dinner,No booze for me though i promise!!
and im sure noone think your alchoholics,, well I dont !:D
In regards the mgm buffet i did like that more than the mirage and the mandalay bay buffets, Though im not whats the word *foodie?*
I guess im a typical guy, as long as theres a few different choices, cooked properly, hot ,what more can you ask for?maybe a freebie prehaps but thats another story!
p.s thanks for the aditional info brats62. we are always open to trying new places and foten make up a list before we go!
On a side question, A few pages back there were a few comp questions(a few asked by myself) and i was thinking bout comps .
Would it be so rude to ASK for comp buffet passes?
whom would someone ask? the check in people when checking in? the Mlife desk?someone esle?
I was thinking as we have stayed in the mgm our last 2 visits, and are looking for the mgm NEXT year, We both have Mlife cards and have looked at the hotels, though it only offers seem to be best rates and best rates for a few shows.
any advice most welcomed
thanks:)0 -

i been playing myvega for last 2 months and got over 80000 points , i play daily on FB and also the 2 games on my phone , i reckon the time i got in october i will have 150000 points although i am tempted to cash in some soon , am going alone so even if i got a free buffet everyday its worth it for 30mins of my time a day"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0

If you are within 90 days of using the rewards,I would recommend getting ones you fancy as soon as you can.
You never know when they will pull a reward, and if you fancy something particularly, and you have the points, then I would get it.
Think someone recently wrote...don't know who...that they believed MGM rewards may disappear all together.0
