fair enough, seems odd to make Pearl unless u spend lots....
Mlife did say u earn more in points from buying stuff in there shops, booking direct with the hotel, etc etc

Remember, I got my host in Monte Carlo which is cool ;);)
Also, I took out $3.5k , spent just short of $1k on clothes/gifts for myself, $700 on my kitty stuff (as in food/drinks kitty, not Hello Kitty! :D:D:D ) $200 on car upgrades.. I blew $300 in 5 mins when checking out of the MC, spent $150 in the airport on duty free, and came back with $1685 ;););)

I ask how they do the points/profit/loss, etc etc on the tables, then I figured a way to make me look like I spend more than I do ;);)

    Hi
Im unsure how i got upto pearl as well, but nowhere close as you are to gold!

It looks like i spent about $835 or something , though i did use the wee shop at the mgm a few times(nothing major)
Prehaps they added my totals from last year as well?(july last year, june this year)

I can see easily how someone may blow $300 in 5minutes, I think i did about $200 in about that time, though in was on the $100 roulette tables!

looks like you enjoyed yourself, which is the main thing! and thanx for all your advice you have given me, a few annoying questions im sure but thank you anyhow!!:D

    p.s
I see your looking to book up for june next year, If things go okay for us we are hoping to be in vegas in june sometime.
I noticed that the Myvegas facebook game did a meet up thing early june, prehaps the thread could have a similar meet up next year?

Bobby it isn't what you "spend" so much as how often you can circulate it

I can make $20 last all night sometimes (only sometimes :D) and that doesn't count as a $20 spend but could be $200 or even $500 coin in to a slot before I either cash it out or lose it. My card would show I'd gambled $500 (or whatever) not $20.

So if you'd had some good runs that might explain the higher tier.

one of our trips the wife put a $20 into the slot at the bar when we arrived. She had quite a few smallish wins.
It ended up lasting her nearly 4 days before she started spending her own money again. :)

ah i see,so if i had put money in a slot, say $20, won some money, lost some money won some money, it calculates as the whole amount?

I think we did have some little wins, but of course like most mug punters, we often lost more than we won.
I recall winning like $220 in china mystery. i gave my brother some money, and i had lost the remaining *win* within like 5minutes.

also i think casinos calculate the amount you bet as well,i guess for example if somone played with $25 chips(or per shot) as opposed to say $5 a shot(say putting down $100) then in theory the person who bet $25 would have more points than the $5 a shot player.Im sure i read that somewhere, weather its right or not well im sure someone with more knowledge than i would better answer it

When the Pit Boss is looking your way you increase your bets.
When he isn't you drop your bet down.
He will estimate your average bet and use that to rate your play.

If he thinks your gambling more than you are then your rated play will be higher than it actually is.

on a similar note my brother sometimes plays the fruit machines over here. One time i lent him a £10 and bang he wins £800.
The very next day(yes the very next day!) he put another £10 in a another machine and bang £400.The next again day he put a few quid in and won something like £40.My brother is jammy like that, soemtimes when he plays he wins and wins and wins, jammy sod:beer:

As u saw on my mlife, it looks like I lost many thousands..
Yet I didn't spend much in the face of things..
    What I did was:
Exchange a large amount at the table into chips, play some hands, whether it be big or small, but sometimes average $30 on BJ tables....
When pitboss looked away, I would take a chunk of chips and put them in my pocket, and keep doing the same, but to the tune of making it look like I am spending/playing the chips...
Pit boss updates his records, etc etc..
When I cash out, and change chips into maybe $25 or $100 chips, pit boss see's this and closes out my 'play card'......
He see's average bets between - $25 --- $75 per hand, and records a loss...
I change $500 at the table, I cash out with $200, he records a loss of $300...
In my pocket, I am either $100 down, level or in a few cases, I was hundreds up ! ;);)
Hence my mlife LOSS stats not matching with my overall spend in the US.... in a nutshell, my holiday cost me peanuts! ;) and I had wins, not the losses (well, in the Luxor and Monte Carlo at least..)

thank you for the explaination stuieuk34

I think my problem with regards roulette, is if i but in for x amount i tend to play that amount with a few rare exceptions ,if i get some $5 chips along with some dollar chips, though occasionally i will put maybe 1-2 of my $5 chips on the outsides.

As for blackjack, I tried it twice, put down $10 each time and lost on the first hand both times!

again thank you for your feedback and answers, many to my questions !

I do think you need to be careful as it is easy to get carried away chasing comps with a value far below your losses.

I think of comps as a bonus rather than something to chase "earning". It helps to know how it works - but sometimes a little knowledge can be dangerous :)
