Also what are peoples thoughts on Ballys? I am going with 6 mates (all male in our mid 20s). Our budget is fairly tight so looking at some mid-Strip places like Monte Carlo, Ballys, Flamingo, Harrah's. Would you say Ballys is the "best" out of those?

If you going with mates the standard hotel rooms will be pretty similar wherever you stay.
No doubt you will be visiting all the other casinos and bars so where you stay is not that important.
For a Lads holiday I would stay cheap and use the cash saved for spending.
Every last penny helps in vegas, The drinks are expensive :)

What do people think is the best out of the following options? This is for a Saturday-Saturday holiday in May 2016, so 7 nights altogether. Rooms are just standard with 2 queens, based on 2 sharing. Prices quoted include all taxes and resort fees.

    1. Harrah's for the whole week (£212 per person all in)
    2. Monte Carlo for the whole week (£250 per person all in)
    3. Flamingo for the whole week (£281 per person all in)
    4. Harrah's/Monte Carlo for the Saturday night, then Paris for the rest of the week (£311 per person all in)
    5. Harrah's/Monte Carlo for the Saturday night, then Bally's for the rest of the week (£327 per person all in)

Are you sure the prices include resort fee ?
I wasn't aware that resort fees were still " included" in prices on websites.
I think all the hotels above have either a $25 or $28 resort fee per night......that alone would be about £112 to £126 for 7 nights going by today's exchange rates.
If your quotes DO include fees, then you have found a very good site, and I for one would be grateful if you would share your source.

By the way....I think out of the options above,I would choose the Monte Carlo...nice casino, and connected to mid strip by free monorail to Bellagio....at that price you are basically paying £20 a night for the room. After the resort fee.Lowcostusa used to include the fee,but that has now stopped.

its not that difficult to get a price then add the resort fees for a total price.
Lots of sites show the resort fees for all hotels.
If you gamble using your rewards card and use it when you have meals etc you might get the resort fee comped.

Every time I have stayed at MGM I have had my whole bill comped. The only spend was drinks at the pool (quite a few) and a buffet.
Granted we played a lot of cash through the slots but my daughter even had her show tickets comped.
To top it off they also gave a $50 breakfast credit as we were leaving.

He has quoted the cost per person, not per room

Thanks for the advice everyone. Yes the prices I quoted were per person based on 2 sharing, so you'd want to double them to get the cost of the room for the week.

Regarding the resort fees I just added the cost of those on myself. So worst case scenario that's how much it'll cost, best case scenario we'll manage to get them comped!

Anyway thanks again for the feedback, I think we might go with Flamingo. Just because I stayed at Monte Carlo last Summer, and although I did love it, I quite like trying new places. Although I will miss the lazy river at Monte Carlo!

    hi
for your first part of your post the way i read rorylando45 post was he had his rsort fees INCLUDED in the price he got, thus he got them for free(though his latest post he has just added it on and not got it included)

as for your second aprt of your post, may i ask how you got things comped at the mgm?
my brother and I have stayed there the last 2 years and have not got anything comped as of yet(we had booked our holiday for this year and were down to like the last 4 weeks when i checked onlin on the Mlife page i could have got 3nights comped).
when we stayed last year , our first time in vegas, we singed up for the mlife palyers card and were told to see them before chekcing out and they could see what they could do to comp us.It took a while but sadly got nothing.
this year, staying at the mgm we had our cards from last year, but again got nothing comped.
Do you ask people for comps?
    does someone find you?
i would not say my brother and i are high rollers or big gamblers. but i think both times we have satyed we have BOTH spent about $1100 or so each both times,

    any advice most welcomed

Sorry about that...my mistake...misread the sharing room bit.

Thought those prices seemed a bit good for a room for the week.

All booked at the Flamingo now. It's working out £298.33 each and that is the 7 of us spread across 4 rooms, all GO Deluxe rooms and including all taxes and resort fees. For 7 nights in May I'm very happy with that price. Could've got it cheaper if we went with a FAB room but I've heard they're nowhere near as nice (I've only ever stayed in a GO room so hard to compare).

We followed the exact same procedure as you did by visiting the players club desk before checking out.
We would have spent 10 days there so I guess its down to money as we would have dropped a lot more than $1100 each.

Use your Mlife card every time you play, spend or eat. Charge drinks n food round the pool to your room.
In fact charge as much as you can to the room, this is the bill they will look at comping or reducing :)
If you log into Mlife you should be able to see the total you spent using your card.

Ok thanx very much for your feedback.
In regards playing the slots, tables ye we use our card every chance we get in that regards.
Just a lil unsure about charging things to our room though. On our recent trip to vegas(staying at the mgm) we for the first time charged a beer and a coke to our room, fair enough we though it was $14 or something,I had put down $200 at reception when we checked in and well was expecting $186 to put back into my account and was stunned when it was $34:mad:

turns out there was a cobana charged to our room, a bar tab of $75 if i recall !
so i told the lady at recepction that we only charged a beer and a coke to our room , i signed a bit of paper and got a reciept for the right amount.

thanx again for the advice, maybe i ll write down every we do charge to our room next time, or work something out!
