Thanks for your replies re the Virgin Holidays website.
I've just used the online chat and they don't know the answer either and have said to call the sales team. So thats what I'll doDon't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -

I'm looking at the Virgin Holiday website and the dates available to book only go up to March 2016 (I want May/June 2016) flying from Manchester VS85/VS86 but when I look on Virgin Atlantic website these dates are available to book.
Has something changed with VH that I've missed, I've always been able to book quite a long time in advance?
Thanks for any help :embarasselittlemissbossy wrote: »Thanks for your replies re the Virgin Holidays website.

Ok, so I've spoken to the sales team and they don't know why there are no dates showing after March 2016 for Manchester departures and they're not bothered, they just wanted me to book with them over the phone. I know I could do this but I just like to watch the prices for a few weeks as the prices change sooo much.
Anyway I've found a way to access the dates I'm after (May/June 2016), I just select another destination, New York for example, put the date in that I want, bring the holidays up then press the "change search" button and change it to Vegas.
Got there in the end, thanks againDon't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -

I tried that earlier and it defaults to Gatwick after using change search0 -
Does anyone know if there is a lazy river at any of the Strip hotels besides MGM Grand, Monte Carlo and Mandalay Bay?0
-
Also what are peoples thoughts on Ballys? I am going with 6 mates (all male in our mid 20s). Our budget is fairly tight so looking at some mid-Strip places like Monte Carlo, Ballys, Flamingo, Harrah's. Would you say Ballys is the "best" out of those?0

What do people think is the best out of the following options? This is for a Saturday-Saturday holiday in May 2016, so 7 nights altogether. Rooms are just standard with 2 queens, based on 2 sharing. Prices quoted include all taxes and resort fees.
1. Harrah's for the whole week (£212 per person all in)
2. Monte Carlo for the whole week (£250 per person all in)
3. Flamingo for the whole week (£281 per person all in)
4. Harrah's/Monte Carlo for the Saturday night, then Paris for the rest of the week (£311 per person all in)
5. Harrah's/Monte Carlo for the Saturday night, then Bally's for the rest of the week (£327 per person all in)0 -
I would choose Flamingo, Have stayed there 2 or 3 times and cant complain. Good casino and the place smells really good.0

Did you try plugging your Total rewards number into the Flamingo's reservations web page Rory ? It usually drops the price a bit even with no offers in your account.
For you -I'd probably go for the Monte Carlo for the pool with lazy river -or the Flamingo for the Go pool as it's a lad's trip.
Overall I like the Flamingo best out of all of those and the rooms are recently renovated.
I always get the impression the MC attracts an older crowd but have never stayed there (although looking at it for September)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

hi
a bit nosey preshaps but what site(or travel company) are you usuing to get your resort fee s included?
Just the few sites i have used so far, have EXCLUDED resort fees.
I am trying to work things out for next june(or july) and if i could save on resort fee s it would be great.
I have not stayed in any of the hotels you have stated, but if depends on what people in your party want really.I went with my brother the last 2 years, and like you we had a basic room, 2 queen sized beds, a tv and bathroom, what more could we ask for?(dont answer:D)
we stayed at the mgm though, which is near the south end of the strip, ,Thats pretty close to monte carlo, the other hotels you mention are pretty much at the centre of the strip.
sorry i cant tell you much about the rooms, but we like the casinos of both monta carlo and the flamingo. and we liked the monta carlo buffet(went to it 2014 and this year)
good luck !0
