Has anyone here been to see Mariah yet?

We went last year Aug 28th for a week.Be aware it's US Labor Day weekend and very,very busy.We found that we couldn't use any of our Myvegas rewards for the whole weekend as it was blackout dates for the holiday.It was very hot,very busy and not when I would choose to go at that time again.Still prefer June and October.

The MyVegas rewards are hardly worth bothering with now. I used to run a facebook group for MV with 60k members until facebook decided to close it lol.
Im struggling to spend my reward points now.

Heat = I love it, and still using H Tropic Factor 4 oil regardless (guess i'll pay the price in 20 years! )
So given we spend all day round the pool, more heat the better, so defo will be looking out for 2 weeks in July next year

The last trip was made up of:
5 Nights Myvegas in the Mirage (booked before they changed the rules)
4 nights comp'd in Lux
2 nights comp'd in Monte

I got myself a host for MC who has offered upto 5 nights in a Monaco suite, so will cash in on that next year, coupled with using the Mlife offer I get (if I can get away with combing that...)
Will see what other Mlife offers come about next year, and then just look for the cheapest way of booking the remaining nights....

I do gamble a fair bit on the tables, so I guess it helps with the offers maybe ?

Ok thank you very much for the detailed feedback, it is very much appreciated.Do you know how soon the Mlife offers come about?at the moment i am sorta looking at booking up for vegas again.In and around may i noticed on the mlife website when i logged in, i had i think it was either a spring or summer offer which said i had 3 nights comped!
though it was a lil too late i felt to cancel the holiday i had booked.
My brother and i, like you gambled a bit, i think for our 10 days in vegas , last month i think we gambled about a grand each,(over 10 days that is !!)
It seems i am up to pearl in the Mlife cards, though my understanding is, the *year* it counts to is either setempber or ocotober, , so i assume i will go back down to the blue card(which name escapes me)
so do you mind if i ask, do you book your flights, for say 2 weeks on x daters and wait for offers/comps and do it that way?

u would need to spend more than £1k/$1k to get Pearl status...
Does your Mlife account show Pearl when you log in ? Points reset in Sep, not status...

I book flights first, then see whats available... I don't mind paying for rooms, etc, it was just this year we got lucky (mainly because last year, I didn't even think to click on 'Offers' on the Mlife website! )

Thanx for your feedback and i always value your advice and help,
If i recall when readint the Mlife page I was at the pearl status, it had the pearl card and like a distance, with something like 46,000(or 46k something) and then the gold card,I checked late last month and i cant seem to get the Mlife site up at the moment but will re check.
Good to hear that its points not status!, so im fingers crossed i can get some comps

No idea why FB decided to close it. No warning or anything.
It was MyVegasFriends.....


I did hear a rumour that MGM might be pulling out very soon.
I have bagged some rewards already but if they do pull out they will more than likely just be cancelled.


I guess it was good while it lasted
