In that case you might like to know that there are a fair number of motels in Las Vegas, including some only one block off the Strip, and AFAIK they don't charge a resort fee. Of course, it's the overall cost vs satisfaction that matters so apologies if this is of no interest.

As I have not been to vegas for 2 years my TR and Mlife balances are zero.
Used to get comped rooms before but this trip I will be paying full price.
I have looked at lowcost usa and their rates seem pretty good. (I want a week at the MGM Signature)
Has anyone found any similar websites?
Are you sure you haven't got any MLife offers? We hadn't been for two years but still had offers in our accounts and so just had 7 nights comped

Afternoon all,
Can I ask a couple of questions of the LV regulars...
I'm thinking of taking my wife to Vegas/LA for a few days starting the middle of the last week of August, returning the middle of the first week of Sept.
Is that a good time to see the place and are there any good offers by the hotels around then? I've been looking at the MGM Grand and Aria.
Does the $20 sandwich still work in Vegas? I've looked on the sites listed in the op and there are no posts more than about 2 years old! I seem to remember reading that the check in staff were being told not to do this any more, this that true (as it still works in LA, very well).
Thanks0
