  • stupid new CC provider, rang them again there has been an 'issue' with transferring balance so it will take another 5-10 days! they arent charging a bal trans fee though so it counteracts the interest i am paying on old card so alls well that ends well. Well I hope it ends well!

Im thinking of stoozing when the balance is lower, these are all valuable stoozing lessons!

.....and we are back from camping. 3 days and 2 nights camping bliss on the north norfolk coast. Picnic on the beautiful sunny beach, suntan, BBQ and drinks. Utter bliss. Stayed within budget and the holiday fund now stands at £100 which is currently housed in the M&s account required to get the regular saver. Will start building again for next summer hols.

Returned to 3 jars of jam gone and only 1 paid for. This is not the first time it's happened. Have put a snotty note out there now to warn would be theives we have cctv.

Back to work tomorrow and will be organising the business accounts and balancing the books. Things are still tight but the end is at least in sight. Customers are starting to pay and orders are trickling in. I hate this time of year I really do. In 3 weeks our Christmas starts properly so the reward for the hardship starts to kick in :)

No MSE / MFW news this weekend, it's my quiet bit of the month for money most of my bits and bobs go through in the last week of the month. Did a TT of 2 accounts, to be honest I have no idea how much will be in the TT account at the end of the month but I'm hoping for about £10 :) I already know it's going to be a struggle to hit my £425 OP target but I'm still trying :)

Edited sig. Tcb payout straight to mortgage
  • Hello MFWers the CC balance has finally transferred. Well the majority of it has and I'll get the rest paid off by end of September. That will leave £3400 on CC which if I remember rightly started at about £8000 at the beginning of the year. This was all the moving costs from when we moved so that mortgage could be low as possible. Pleased it's (almost) sorted.

Has been such a miserable today today, solar generated a whopping 2.5kws so have had to put the water heating on :-(

2 loans In Processing stage on FC although they have a message on the homes page saying processing is delayed this month so hopefully it's that and not a default.

MiniOCC has been to tesco cooking classes that I first saw in the MSE email out. He loved it and is there are 2 more days which I will be doing with him. Will remember to pick up my free tesco finest cheese when I'm there.

Parents panicking about our business trip to bangkok in October. Told them not to worry.

Nothing else to report as yet on the MSE front. Just keeping a close check on my accounts.

Second day complete at cookery school. It's really fantastic I must remember to tweet tesco and say how brilliant it is. Whilst I was there used my £3 finest cheese vouchers to get some Camembert and some Gorgonzola so need to think of some recipes that use them. I might make a baked Camembert which is so yummy but I'll be digesting that's for a week :)

The FC loans processing have gone through today. I have decided to try and add another £100 to FC this month to speed up the snowballing.

Paid electrician today for work on bed4 £90 but out of excess in bills account so no money coming out of savings/house doing up fund. I like to pay out of bills account or personal spends if poss and save savings for the bigger jobs. Bit annoyed as carpet we had in miniOCCs room has been discontinued so will need to find a close match. Need to arrange plasterer before that which should be about £100-£150 as its a small room. Will do that next month and carpet in October (about £150 I'd think) ....and then on to bed3!

BF got MiniOCC trainers and footie boots in next size up in Nike sale. Both for £21. full price was about £70 I think! He is now a size 2!

Edited : popped into £land for loaf of bread sized freezer bags and they had those money box tins that you can't open. They were despicable me ones (which MiniOCC liked) but are perfect for our extension fund and camper van fund to go for this first year till CC is finished and I get serious about these :)
  • Cookery school complete it was absolutely brilliant I must say. They had made loads of food so we are that for lunch and went straight to an adventure park where we have a season pass.

I'd soaked some peas so boiled them up when I got home and made mushy pea fritters chip shop style anlo had some battered gherkins too. So delicious and a real treat.

Fantastic day and absolutely nothing spent!

That's such a shame as I love honesty boxes.

One of our neighbours buys our eggs and always says she worries about leaving the money. I've said to her it's our risk and, touch wood, so far we've never been short-changed or worse but it could happen.
  • We live in a really touristy area so I'm sure it's boat dwellers a little worse for wear wondering from the pub back to the boats, probably wonder where they got it from in the morning.

I've put a snotty note on it now!
