I am on a bit of a blog role. As this is the MSE week for me I am very motivated. I finally got my stretch your pennies facebook page set up. That was more work than it needed to have been (quietly not admitting that I hadn't actually published it!) Please have a look if you get a chance.0

4 posts in one day, I usually stick to just the one!
Not a NSD today unfortunately.
Paid for course, brought MiniOCC some school shorts and spent £9 on Christmas presents. I got grown up colouring books for my sisters. Am going to make the each a de-stress pack and these will go in it. Probably won't be appreciated as were like chalk and cheese but I think it's a nice idea and in MY opinion they are stressed!:rotfl:
Edited : I keep not finishing things! Need to keep an eye on the accounts and look at BF new SIPP tomorrow. Also need to do FIT reading too. Will reinvigorate my list but that's for another day.0 -
OCC - Those August comparisons are a very good tactic. Think i'll pinch those when posting my monthly accounts. Having a quick look i'm amazed:
Aug 2011 - £472.33
Aug 2012 - £500.14
Aug 2013 - £479.51
Aug 2014 - £467.00
Aug 2015 - £221.43
So as much as i thought we were doing well for the last 5 years, we possibly weren't!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

It's really motivating this stat isn't it :T:T:T your difference is huge and will movivate to get August 16 down too! Fantastic that's an extra £280 per month for you and your family since 2012!0 -
A tax refund cheque for £14.59 arrived in the post today. Will round that up to £15 and will overpay that tomorrow when I bank it
Did my FIT reading yesterday, I estimate it will be about £220 which I will get within the next 6 weeks but should come in next calendar month.
Coloured in the next square on my house, my BF was silly enough to mention it to my mum and dad who mocked him ad said they weren't 'obsessed' with money like us. I've told him not to mention it, people don't understand.
Today is my day off work with MiniOCC. It's looking like terrible weather today so I'm going to get a meerkat movie voucher. A trip to £land for some snacks and should get a day out. Unless I can think of anything to do in wind and rain. Saying that were still in our jim jams as yet so may now even make it out!0 -

It's my fave stat, easy to work out and instant gratification! Might not be so great if/when interest rates go up!0 -
Today was a good day, took MiniOCC to cinema to see Pixels. Thought it was a kiddy film, didn't realise it was a 12A til we got to the certification but if the film. MiniOCC is not scared of films as he knows it's actors, but there were a few words I wouldn't want him to say. He's sensible enough to know 'adult words' that aren't for children. He goes to the football and hears worse
Used meerkat movies so only cost £7ish. Spent £8 in £land getting a few bits plus sweets and drinks before we went in.
No other spends today. TT done today can't remember how much. It's going to be a surprise how much it is end of month. BF took all the change we sorted to bank and changed it for £45. £20 to extension fund and £25 to the camper van fund. I added another £1 to the extension fund from my personal spends. once CC is sorted will sort official bank account for each of these but at least we're getting started.
Am going to look to see what I can OP tomorrow. I'm hoping to make my target again0 -
We saw Pixels yesterday though DS is almost 15 so probably more age appropriate with some choice language I agree.
Your cinema is cheaper than ours - £8.50 for me and the Meerkat voucher for him! He's working on what to see next week...I can see this getting costly even with the 2 for 1 :eek:Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -

I must admit I was surprised, we went to vue but haven't been there in a while, odeon has been over £8 for ages. I love going to the cinema with the miniOCC he actually relaxes for an hour of so and I might even get a snuggle!
It was definitely a 12a language, I was thinking it was a U or PG max when I saw the poster. MiniOCC (age 6) was much happier with the real version!
Meerkat movies worked a treat too, think it deserves a blog post!
In other news the miniOCC and I have spend the day taking like Wilson from dads army for fun. Dads army is miniOCCs second fave TV show (his fave is the next step:( it's dreadful if you haven't seen it ) so we spent the whole day talking like Wilson. People must have thought we were awfully bonkers :rotfl:0
