I'm just going to paste my old sig here, as the rules changed today and it'll probably totally disappear as I just can't work out how to get it to fit into the new rules! Who counts in BCC characters and why do they penalise you so much for strikethroughs?!!

    Not-working-at-work - genuinely fab!
It's great! Sat around for about 2-and-a-half hours today, then got fed up and left!

We went to see our new house again today to measure all the rooms and take proper note of everything that urgently needs done. List comprises:

Boiler check-up/servicing - looking very ropey.
Carpets urgently required in baby bedroom and study - very ropey again!
All other carpets require thorough clean - we've got a Bissell so won't cost much except for cleaning fluid, but will take ages.
Painting out the bright orange hallway, bright purple DS's bedroom, and dark blue study. Rest of the rooms need doing, but not so urgently.
Lampshades throughout needed - we've always had proper light fittings before, and there are just bare bulbs everywhere, which are beautifully accentuating the fab artexed ceilings!
Curtains throughout are awful, but shouldn't need to buy as I can recycle existing ones.
Removing kitchen cupboard to plumb dishwasher in - can't live without that!

On the whole therefore, loads of work but not too much money. In the near future we'll have to re-do all the windows/doors as they're on last legs, probably get a new boiler, replace all the carpers, knock kitchen/diner wall down, and DEFINITELY get all the ceilings skimmed, but that can all get done when we can afford it rather than the way we'd have done it last year by putting it on cards!

    Off to tackle that signature!

    I don't see a new signature yet, PP.............

I hope you are all having a good weekend - is DS getting excited about the baby/move etc yet?

Hi Panda, nice to hear from you again - I bet you're excited about the move - your house sounds like ours did when we moved in. We are slowly getting there, but like you, we are doing it the 'sensible' way (saving up for stuff to be done) which mens I'll have to live with my orange and green artexed bedroom for a little while longer yet!

NICE!!! Maybe you won't be going for the 'make extra cash by renting your house out for photo shoots' option just yet then! Neither will we - DS kept pointing to bits of the carpet yesterday in the new house and saying 'someone did a wee-wee on the floor', hence these are of highest priority and the artex will just have to wait!

Hypno, I wasted 3 hours of my life last night trying to abridge the sig!!! Waiting to see if any amendments are made to the rules (such as them actually working properly!) before I give it another go. Sounds like something I can do when I'm at 'work'!

DH on nightshift tonight, so off to shove DS over to daddy's side of the bed as he's fallen asleep in my bed and I've got no chance of lifting him! Absolutely shattered tonight so hoping for a not-too-painful one!

Hope you managed to get a good night sleep.

I guess the house will take time to get it up to scratch but it will happen .

Missing your sig as it is soooooooooo inspiring to see how well you do at reducing your debt.

Just off to the gym but will PM you later today to catch up a bit:D

I'm missing it as well - it's such a trivial thing but really motivating to add things to it every day or two. But there's just no way that I can get it to work under the new rules, even when I cut it down to a couple of lines. I saw someone else manually inserting theirs under each post, which I thought was quite amusing, but I'd never have the energy. Might try again this morning. Typical that a few who had really crazy sigs have spoilt it for the rest of us - that's always the way!

I've just got to post the signature here that ZTD came up with for me (and I added to, because it was looking too classy as it was!). Brilliant stuff! It won't be around for long, so anyone with my posts in their diaries has no need to worry! But it'll do until I can be bothered coming up with something that does fit the rules!
