SOLD!!!
They've increased their offer to 249k this morning, so we've accepted. But just to complicate matters, we've still got to go through with the open weekend and just had someone in who's really keen and implied that they'd probably make an offer on Monday! They've already sold and living in rented, so slightly better position - will just wait and see what happens!
We've formally put our offer in on the one we want to buy, but their agents can't get hold of them today to get a response. Wait and see!!!
Well happy for today though!!!0 -
congratulations, hopefully you can have your pick of offers nowDFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

fantastic news, fingers crossed it goes through OK.

Yay! Fantastic news (though I don't envy you moving in late pregnancy - today I'm struggling to move myself, never mind house!)0

Woohoo, this is good news - maybe a bidding war will start?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

It would be nice, but the problem is that because we dropped to 250, nobody will bid above that because of the stamp duty (for anyone who wonders what I'm talking about, you pay 1% up to £249,999, and 3% if it's over that - sell for £249,999 and the tax=£2,500, but sell for £250,001 and tax is £7,500!). We don't care though, we just want to move!!!
Sitting out the last few minutes of our open day (nobody else turned up!) before we head out to grab some free junk food courtesy of a mystery shop. I've been playing bingo all afternoon, and finally won £29.90! A good day all round!0 -
Good news on the house offer. I hope you manage to get the one you want as well, and that things can get moving quickly.
Good to see the pile of ski stuff moving too, and that voucher sale sounds pretty fab too!
All in all a good weekend then! I hope it continues xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Yes, to say I'm pretty chuffed with the way the weekend has gone so far, would be an understatement! Hopefully your weekend will start to pick up a bit too now Hypno - glad to hear the kids arrived safely.0

To be honest, I still haven't tried to use the crutches! After a particularly bad couple of days I seem to have loosened up a bit again, so while it's quite sore I'm ok to carry on as normal, albeit slowly!
I'm really chuffed with the way the challenges are going at the moment. Can't wait for the Olympic Challenge to start properly, I'm determined to do it!0
