Never mind, the time sitting here waiting for them has prompted me to join the £10 a day challenge which I'd deliberately ignored previously!
Told DH (about the no-show, not the £10 challenge!) and he's raging! Says he's going to insist that estate agents provide us with a contact number for any viewers who want to come outside office hours. Not sure that's the best policy to charm potential buyers, but he's got a point!
Off to look out my little black book of matched bets (there isn't much in it!), and see if I can get the £10 a day going that way, as so far I've managed 20p on Pigsback and really can't face listening to £9.80 worth of crap music!0 -
matched betting really will be the best way to crack this challenge - I need to get back into it, but will save it for later in the month I think, when the kids have gone away and I can have some time/space to myself.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Good idea! The good thing about it is that you can go 'all or nothing' on it, unlike daily clicks, or surveys and mystery shopping which depend on the opportunities being there at the right time. Once you get back into it there'll be no stopping you! That's what I'm hoping for myself anyway!
I saw YouGov mentioned on someone else's post, and realised that I used to do their surveys but haven't heard from them in ages. Spent a while trying to find user name, password etc, and success - have just discovered an account with £10.25 in it! Emailled them to ask why I haven't heard diddly-squat for nearly 2 years!
So the pie shall remain in one piece tonight, thank goodness! Off to post my achievement on the £10 board!0 -
Oh how annoying! And on New year's Day as well!
Hopefully you will get some viewers for your open weekend after your 3 page spread (which my befuddled mind read first as page 3 spread but I imagine that's not how you're trying to sell your house!!)0 -

Oh Lordy, that would certainly get us some attention, especially in my current, erm, extra-voluptuous state!
No, to clarify, it will be a perfectly respectable spread over three pages!!!0 -
so sorry about today, it must be so annoying to have done all that cleaning and it be for nothing, hopefully the 3 page spread will be the key to getting the house sold. I always avoid those £10 a day challenges, just dont think i could do it! im sure you will manage it though, you always seen to comit well to these things, im just figuring out how im going to make enough extra for the olympic challenge. I still havent looked into matched betting properly, i really should try it, im not sure whats stopping me.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

Now's the time to give it a go! I think quite a few people are planning on starting for the New Year - pop over to Karmacat's diary, it seems as though that's going to be the hub for people trying it for the first time!
I've just had my son delivered home by grandparents, so my plans for getting stuck into it tonight probably won't happen as I've no chance of getting him in bed for a while as they let him sleep until after 7! Never mind, he had loads of fun, and I've had peace and quiet all afternoon in my clean house!0 -
ill have to go over and have a look, i keep saying i will get on with it but never do. how soon will all your cleaning be undone now ds is back?!DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

DH was actually very good and hid most of his toys when he tidied them away (poor kid!), so we've only got one train which is being wheeled around under the dining table at the moment!
I fully intend to force my child to watch as much TV as possible between now and the open weekend in order to minimise the mess he can make, because we're too lazy to have to clean it up again on Friday!
That'll be the new year's resolution to be a better mother out the window already then! Oh well, I'll make him some turkey twizzlers to make up for it!!!0 -
Just signed up for the Platinum Olympic Challenge. That's going to be a difficult one to achieve but I'm determined to do it!
This New Year business is hard work! I just can't say no to a challenge!0
