Hi there and welcome...well done on such a detailed SOA and for what you've done so far...I noticed BT is £14.50...the basic lline rental is £10.50 so a couple of pounds to be saved there...it's not much but will help...good luck
and don't forget to sign up for the online only billing otherwise it's 10.99 (I only found out about this today in a different thread).

I might be a little premature with this:
:j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j
But I'm hoping that we're going to get a formal offer on the house tomorrow! Couple came round and said they were going to speak to their mortgage adviser but are planning to offer later in the afternoon. They spoke about numbers a bit as well, and their own house has just sold for £250k after initially going on market for £280, so I doubt they'll be cheeky with the amount. Ooooh, please, please, please....!
I'm a little more mobile this evening. Have crutches in the car, but I'm too shy to use them as I don't really know how! Will have to practice in the house! My boss was as understanding as a bloke can be about me taking the day off, and is going to look into whether or not I can use the lift at work, which is for equipment use only because it isn't alarmed. It only goes up 2 flights of stairs (there are 3) but it would be better than nothing! Need to go in tomorrow as there's some stupid Death-by-Powerpoint security/health & safety course that I have to attend for FOUR hours! Pregnant lady will need LOTS of toilet breaks I think - might take the laptop and sit in the loo for a while if it gets too boring!0 -

i have been reading your diary and know you have been waiting a while!
we had ours on the market for 9 months while i was pregnant with my 3rd and is horrid, trying to keep it tidy all the time!!!, and you feel like you are in limbo.
best of luck and hopefully today might be the day!!
Thanks for the good luck wishes!P.S - My lounge is nice and tidy, tree packed away for another 11 months, cards down and everything looks clean and tidy for a changechocaholic110 wrote: »Do you think you overdid it with the tidying up? Good luckWill watch out for it though!

Just talking about the snow on Choca's diary - it never snows properly here! Thought I'd brighten up the page with a couple of pics of DS (just turned 3) doing his best to play in what little snow there was today!Bless him!0

Oh, Panda, what lovely pics! I'd love to post a piccie of my Christmas tree (cos the fairies made it) but have no clue how. And what great potential news about the house, tho the 3rd bit, about the crutches, is not so great. I hope your legs are better today.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

My fingers are sooooo crossed in connection with your house that they have fused together!
I really really hope that offer comes through for you today. Is your "dream" house still available?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Have got as many things crossed for your offer today (as well as I can with my fat fingers and achey hips!)
Aw, bless DS playing in the snow - you want to send him up here to play in some real snow?? It's melted now on the roads but is still standing proud in the gardens and paths.
Oh, and we get call waiting and caller display and don't pay any extra - I was under the impression they were given features these days? (I think we pay £10.50 a month?)0 -
Thanks! Yes, the house we want is still there. Nobody else wants it!!! I'm so desperate to ring them up and make a formal offer, but best obviously not to tempt fate!
If all goes to plan and we accept an offer on this place, we're thinking on asking the sellers if we could rent the place off them for the couple of months or so until all the paperwork goes through. They've had it rented out in the past, and apparently they're pretty desperate for cash. It would just make life so much easier if we could move gradually rather than having to do it all in one day (which would be a day very close to baby due day!). It wouldn't cost us much, as we'd be saving about £400 a month in petrol, although we'd be having to pay bills on both houses. Will probably try anyway though - some things are more important than money.
Moving around today, albeit slowly! Got to go into work in a while - not sure whether to take the crutches or not!0 -
Hi Panda - your son is gorgeous, thats a real cheeky grin he's got there!
Hope work was OK and your course thingy wasn't too boring (aren't they all?)
Have you got the offer on your house yet?
What about the ebay stuff you listed - have you nanaged to shift any of it yet - are you hoping to get the storage unit clear before you move? I have a few auctions ending tomorrow and they all have bids - I'm hoping they go up a bit though, then I can get cracking with the stop faffing and the olympic challenge.

We got an offer from the agents by email - have you ever heard anything so ridiculous?! Apparently they tried home and mobiles but we didn't answer. Hmmm, funny all 3 phones didn't work and none are registering missed calls!!! Anyway, they've offered £245k, and because we got it after 5pm by email we haven't had the chance to tell them where to shove that yet! Well, not quite, but since we've dropped the price so much already we're going to try and squeeze the 250 out of them.
My course was cancelled today :j so I got another free day off work! Got a call at 11am to say that apparently the security people had decided to do it in the morning instead, but hadn't bothered to tell anyone :rotfl: . So I did a couple of mystery shops instead and earned £23.
Ebay has been really good this week since the listing day - have sold a mountain of skiwear and a few other things as well. It'll build up the balance a bit on my business account which I haven't drawn anything from for ages, and I might be able to get something out of it soon. My personal auctions have done ok too - Sold £380 worth of vouchers that I got free (long story) for a total of £340ish. Wil be counting that towards the Olympic Challenge when it starts!
Any word about your own house Natlou? I was talking about it today with DH, and how we really can't afford to be choosy with our offers! I think things are really picking up, so you might get lucky very soon. Get on the phone to those agents and tell them you want an open day!0
