Hi Judi thank you for saying hi! I do a lot of rambling so feel free to join in any time.
Ebaying isn't too difficult, you just need patience - I've been hooked since 2005
If you wait for the free listing weekends you can list your items without having to pay listing fees which all adds up!
Its getting quite cold here now so I'm sitting in my Uggs with my dressing gown over my clothes - its lovely and cosy, just looks slightly odd. BF will be home in an hour or so and will probably think I'm mad for not lighting the fire :rotfl:
I've re activated my Sw*gbucks account and am determined to get to a voucher this time. The spuds are in the oven so I'll have a look at Tol*na in the hope of qualifying for a couple of surveys.
Onwards and upwards :T1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
I'm all surveyed out for one day. Tolun* are telling me that I've reached my limit so I think its time to call it a day for today.
No sales yet, still keeping my fingers crossed
Back to work tomorrow, I really hate how quickly time passes at the weekend. I definitely need to find myself a new job - more money would also be a bonus
Today has been a NSD and I'm hoping for another one tomorrow.1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
That's Monday done thank goodness :j
What a day, I've never seen such rain before. I almost turned around and went home, it was so bad. It got better though and I'm sure it was slightly lighter tonight when I was driving home, or maybe that's just me kidding myself.
Today wasn't a NSD day. Today's spends were eggs, bread and ham, so because it was already a "spend" day, I got myself a coffee
We had a lovely dinner out of the freezer - turkey bolognese with home made sauce. DS2 was here and I'm afraid I lost my rag with him because he was turning his nose up at my dinner! Needless to say he ate it quietly and said "thank you, that was lovely!" I'll have to speak my mind more often
Just took my mum home and its really cold out now. The forecast is for snow but I hope it snows before I start my working day and not during my working day.
We've just had to order more coal which will set us back around £80. Seems like non stop spending at the moment
No sales yet today, can't be greedy I suppose.
I hope everyone had a good day x1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Snow forecast for here too! I hate the snow! well that's not true - I like to look out on it when I'm tucked up warm with everyone safely at home! However the reality is never quite like that is it? Everyone will be a t work or school and have to get home somehow and I will be stressed as I hate driving in it but will end up having to go pick everyone up! and to top it all my boiler is playing up so no heating or hot water until I find a heating engineer who will also be trying to get home in the snow!!! I am cheerful tonight - not!!!!!!
I changed jobs at the end of last year and it made a real difference. It's not more money but I love it so I am much happier - maybe you should have a look for a new job if you are not happy?0 -

I hate snow too, because I have to travel over quite lonely roads to and from work and don't know what I'd do if I got stuck!
I think maybe I should keep an overnight bag in my car and stay in town if the worst comes to the worst.
Just checked the weather this morning and the snow is forecast from about 6pm tonight.
I wouldn't say I'm unhappy exactly at work, I just have this nagging feeling that I should be doing something else. I haven't been there very long, its not quite a year yet, and I left my last job due to job security and wage cuts - I'd been there for 10 years.
Going to work isn't a nightmare, its just annoying working with certain people because I took a slight step backwards when I changed jobs and now I'm seeing others do a job I know I could do well and enjoy doing it, while they do nothing but complain and fob their work off onto anyone they can. I'm not explaining myself very well.
I think what I'm trying to say is that there's nothing to aim for and what I'd really like is a job where I can't wait to get to work in the morning (if there is such a thing!). Anyway, at least I'm in work and I have my job appraisal today so maybe something will come out of it.
I'd better go or I won't have a job to go to!
Hope everyone has a good day and the snow keeps away till we get home x1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Here's hoping we all get to work and back without the snow! I hope your appraisal goes well - I have my 3 month probation meeting on Friday so might be looking for a new job on Saturday!
Like you a can't stand it when people do nothing but moan about their jobs whilst doing nothing to change the situation! I Guess I am lucky that my job is rewarding and I enjoy it (most of the time!!!)
Anyway - have a good day!:hello:0 -
Well, we made it home in one piece and so far the snow is limited to the mountaintops. I would be quite happy to wake up tomorrow morning to 6 inches of snow and have a sneaky day at home in front of the fire with BF

Didn't get my appraisal in the end, we were too busy so its been put off for a couple of days.
Didn't manage a NSD day in the end. On my way to work this morning I noticed a warning light on my dashboard so my knight in shining armour BF came to lunch with me and checked it out. Thankfully nothing serious but I spent £7 on lunch and £20 on petrol.
On the plus side I sold two items on Eb*y and made another £16.52 to add to my total. Because I overspent last payday, any gains this month have been disappearing into the bottomless pit that is my bank account till payday BUT I'm happy to say that I haven't put anything onto my credit cards since before Christmas which is the longest I've gone without using them for ages.
Three sleeps till next weekend and ten sleeps till BF's payday and I can finally start working on my new food budget. We're almost out of chocolate - the Quality Str**t is down to the soft centres that no one likes
Nothing else to report really. Tomorrow WILL be a NSD :A1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Well, I didn't manage a NSD today but I did find someone to cut my hair for £6 :T:T:T
I couldn't believe it but it really was £6. I didn't spend anything else - I took my lunch to work.
I hope everyone's surviving this awful weather. It was very frozen this morning but no snow thank goodness. The wind and rain sounds terrible and I'm so happy to be safe and sound indoors.
My debt free diary feels like a fraud at the moment because I can't pay anything off till after payday. Its very frustrating :mad:1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Its not a fraud at all - in fact its the 'nothing days' between debt payments and payday that are really important in my mind! I keeps me focussed and means I am more considered in my spending if I have to justify (to my self more than you guys!) what I am doing in relation to being frugal and thinking about what I 'need' and how my thinking is changing about money!!! So keep going and keep posting!!!0
