Five years till I'm 50 - 60 months to get debt free!

BF and I have just watched Gravity on DVD - that's 90 minutes we'll never see again!
Today's List
1. [STRIKE]Pick the meat off the chicken.[/STRIKE]
2. [STRIKE]Peel the veg for tonight and tomorrow.[/STRIKE]
3. [STRIKE]Make a pie for tomorrow.[/STRIKE]
4. [STRIKE]Cook a roast dinner for when BF comes home from work.[/STRIKE]
5. [STRIKE]Hoover the entire house.[/STRIKE]
6. [STRIKE]Clean the bathroom[/STRIKE].
7. [STRIKE]Make some biscuits or flapjacks (haven't decided yet).
[/STRIKE]8. [STRIKE]Iron work clothes.[/STRIKE]
9. [STRIKE]Make two packed lunches for tomorrow.[/STRIKE]
The roast chicken dinner was lovely and we have enough cooked vegetables in the fridge for two more days. I've made chicken and leek pie for dinner tomorrow with creamy mashed potatoes and mashed carrots and swede plus I've portioned off enough potatoes carrots and swede for BF and I (plus DS3 if he turns up) to have bubble and squeak for dinner on Tuesday. There'll be four of us eating tomorrow but I'm sure the pie would stretch to 6 portions (my mum doesn't eat much!) so there could be a bit left for DS3 to have with his bubble & squeak on Tuesday. However, I have to take into account that DS2 will be eating with us tomorrow so there may be absolutely nothing left
I had leftover pastry so I made a jam tart out of it like my gran used to make and we had half each for pudding. I also made some hobnobs from a recipe I found on here. I don't think BF likes them very much - they're too gooey for him, but I think that's how they're meant to be. Nevertheless, I'll eat them and my boys will definitely eat them.
Technically this week should be "no spend" for me from Monday to Friday both from my perspective and from the joint account perspective. If I sell anything this week, the postage is already paid for by the buyer so that doesn't count. If I've got my grocery list correct, we won't need any food shopping until Friday evening when we'll go to Al*i again. So far, we're on target, two days in and no top up spending yet.
Today's PAD was £4.54 to the Aq*a card. The enormity of it all hits me sometimes and it makes me feel quite ill. It comes in waves when you least expect it and then you get to thinking how all it would take is for one thing to go wrong and that would be it.
I'm glad I started PADing - even paying off the tiniest amount every day is bringing the total down which in turn will hopefully reduce the anxiety attacks

Monday's done thank goodness!
I've come to the conclusion that some of the people I work with aren't very pleasant (this is me using very polite language so as not to offend anybody - this is not what I'm actually thinking
). The sooner I get out of there the better I think.
Today was a NSD. I had a lovely garlic wrap from Al*i filled with ham and tomato for lunch followed by a gooey homemade hobnob. I picked my mum up on the way home from work and we all devoured the chicken and leek pie for dinner which was yummy, then I took her home a couple of hours later - a very pleasant evening
Today was also payday and all bills paid apart from Ne*t. I made a PAD of £2.96 to my Aq*a card and added £20 to my total for the 2015: Make £1,000 challenge. Am also on target with the grocery challenge. My £20 worth of sales today means that I can add a
to my tracker. One down and nine to go to hit my sales target for this month.
That's it for today - this must be the dullest diary ever :rotfl: just another long slog till next payday when we can pay off some more :T1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Very angry here - just seen new cancer campaign is urging people to visit their doctor if they suffer from constant heartburn as it could be a symptom of oesophageal cancer.
My dad did just that, it took several appointments to be referred for an endoscopy for which he had to wait 18 months. By that time it was too late

Good evening :j Last night's post was a blip - I was very
Normal service has been resumed
Another NSD for me and definitely no topping up the groceries. Tonight's dinner was bubble and squeak and I'm glad the swede is all gone because I don't think I could eat any more for a while :rotfl:
Tomorrow night is omelette night. Just me for dinner tomorrow, I think BF is going out. I don't mind, he never goes out.
Very busy day at work today. I got a lot done but came home with a stinking headache. Just popped one of my pills and feeling better already.
I couldn't resist checking my Aq*a balance and its going down slowly but surely. I can't wait till next month to update the totals again - only 29 days to go - its a short month!
Not a lot else to report really. Hope everyone had a good day x1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -

Hi Beanielou :hello: Most of the good stuff has already been Eb*yed but I have about 300 items currently listed. I'm registered as a business seller.
The biggest thing I could sell is my house! I'm constantly swinging between wanting to sell my house one minute and the next fighting tooth and nail to stay here. If I downsized I could probably live mortgage free and pay off the cards. I make up my mind to do it and by morning I've changed my mind again
I love this house - its the first space I've had that's all me. My ex was very good at letting me think I was making decisions while all the time "guiding" me to his way of thinking. I've made some foolish decisions in my 40's because until I was 40 I've always had someone else making them for me. I've finally learnt that it doesn't matter one little bit what other people think and keeping up appearances is a recipe for disaster.
Plus if my mum ever has to move in with us, we have enough room for her (and us) to be able to have her own space and privacy.
Another thing I could possibly do next month if I can make an extra £100 on Eb*y is to buy some more stock for my Eb*y shop. My stock does sell, albeit slowly at times but I've neglected it lately in favour of selling personal stuff. My mum calls me a frustrated shopkeeper and I think she's right, I'd love my own shop.
There's lots to think about

Good evening, I hope everyone had a good day

I've made a huge mistake with the joint account budget. I thought this month was the month with no Council Tax, so bought a load of coal. I was wrong, its next month! All payments are taken care of but I have to try and feed us for the next three weeks for £40.00. BF and I could top up the joint account from our own accounts but I'm going to try my hardest not to - this is going to take some doing!
I've made my PAD of £2.18 to the Aq*a card and no sales as yet. No snow yet either.
I need to think about menu's. I'll be back later with an update.1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Ok, here's the menu for next week:-
Breakfasts - toast & jam or cereal
Work Lunches - ham & tomato/egg sandwiches
Dinners
Saturday - Egg & Chips
Sunday - Shepherds Pie
Monday - Sausage & Chips/Mash
Tuesday - Jacket Spud/Beans/Cheese
Wednesday - Soup
Thursday - Leftover Shepherds Pie
Friday - Omelette
Snacks - homemade flapjacks - found the recipe on the OS board and have most of the ingredients in the storecupboard.
Shopping list should come to approximately £13.00 in total. This is going to be fun
Not a NSD today - I bought BF a Valentine Card and a small £1 bag of Thorn*ons choccies
I needed a new 4Heads for my migraines - this cost £4.69 and paid for using my Boots points. I love this because if I just have a mini migraine it saves me popping pills all the time.
Feeling better now we have a plan :beer:1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Hello :snow_grin I hope everyone is keeping safe and warm.
Didn't make it to work today. I started out but had to turn back because of the snow. The roads around here get snowed up pretty quickly. Its just started snowing again so we could be in for another fireside day tomorrow.
I've done absolutely nothing all day but sit on the sofa, watch tv, and browse the forum. It does you good to have a "nothing" day sometimes
Nothing MSE to report really. Haven't done my PAD yet, but will check online banking later and do it then.1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990
