My hubby keeps Tipplers ( a type of high flying pigeon) and in the winter when he separates them the hens pair up with each other and start laying eggs and if you put about 8 of them together they make a lovely omelette so maybe get a few more eggs from the girls here
Sorry, when I read this I imagined pigeons heading off to work in a suit for a blue chip company in the city. I've not been drinking, promise.
I have been longing for chickens for years. I used to love them walking into my workshop when I was based at the college farm. My garden needs some work to make it secure before I can get them though. I do have a shed which could be turned into a coop so not much to shell out for a home for them.
No spends for me today, long may it continue.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

We have 7 hens and get from 5 to 7 eggs most days. I sell about 5 boxes of 6 a week and use the rest. I get £1.20 for the big ones and £1 for the small ones. I usually take them along to my exercise classes and sell them there but as the classes have finished until the New Year I think they may start building up! All the family will probably get a box with their Christmas presents.
I've had a lovely non-commercial day with my 4 year old grand daughter. She and I have made gingerbread snowmen, angels and Christmas trees, swept up leaves, dressed up and played lots of games. She also did some cutting and sticking whilst I upcycled a rather nice large Monsoon carrier bag. I've cut out a row of gingerbread men in Christmas paper that are now covering over the name Monsoon and used the same paper to cut out the letters MUM so that I can put my Mother's Christmas present in it - a vintage quilt with a lovely wedding ring pattern in blues and pinks. The paper is from salvaed wrapping from presents I received last year and is I think originally from Oxfam . It's like brown paper with Christmassy pictures of robins, holly etc. We also decorated the Christmas tree, which is a conifer we have outside in a large pot the rest of the year and bring in for a few days over Christmas.
Whilst DGD was making her gingerbread tree ornaments I cut out some gingerbread men which I shall take to work for everyone tomorrow instead of giving out Christmas cards. I am thinking of icing an initial on each one to make it a bit more personal.

Can't type much as feeling a bit ill these last couple of days - just a quick note to say Solstice blessings/Yule greetings to all and that I am glad to be onboard with everyone on the Not Buying It 2015 thread.0

I've not done too well lately on the not buying it front, but in my defense I had a car crash this week, and the white hot chocolate from c0sta has been my pick me up! Plus I did give one to the homeless guy too today0
