    Hi all,
Loving how this thread has really got me thinking about what I am buying and more importantly why... I've realised I was spending out of habit & boredom.
I am using what I have...
I am pampering myself (because I'm worth it (imagine little head flick here too)
I am making our pennies work hard for us.

I feel so much more in control it's great :)
Following :money: to keep us debt free :j

I have washed and ironed the neverending patchwork quilt today.Soo nearly finished, the backing needs some fiddling with and I just keep putting it off.

I'm not sure if anyone can help. I'm trying to find what a v on your credit score means. We are just returning a vehicle to the finance company as is allowed in the contract .we have never had any payment issues and you can do this in the terms of the agreement. However I note,we have to sign to say we will have a V marked against our credit score. I don't understand as its not being returned because we can't afford it but it is too small for our needs

How abut ringing the finance company and ask customer services to find out or email them? Would that help?

Suki So pleased you got the mower back :T What a good thing there is (presumably) only one such shop in your area!

vulpix Glad to hear you're finally going to have your op - I think you've been waiting a while? Fingers x'd for no MRSA!

Good luck with the op Vulpix

Well still here and spending way down( Although way down- did spend on a pair of Birkenstocks in TKs last week). I have been waiting for the £5 off Aldee voucher to come out. Today I rushed into newsagents to pick up paper. There is NO £5 off £40 shop this week just a load of random vouchers and I'd brought two papers without looking.

Any way I am off to art tonight that'll cheer me up.

PS we are now eating garden produce.

I did ask the company who said it may affect your credit and it was to discourage people returning vehicles. I'm sure people must return them all the time because otherwise you just have a lifetime of staying with the same car make we have had this make for 5 years (2nd car off them)they've now changed the shape it no longer suits our needs now my job has changed
I'm pretty savvy but never heard of a V credit rating

Hi, I found this on experian, I'm guessing this is what they mean

    Voluntary termination

The lender has reported that the account has been closed under Section 99 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. This relates to hire-purchase and condition-sale agreements (credit used to buy a car or other vehicle) and allows you to return the car and owe nothing once you have repaid half of the total price.

Thanks for good wishes for the op.I have needed it for 5 years! first I was too fat then I had breast cancer and then it was now.I wont know what to do without it grumbling away and kicking off.I will be able to dedicate more time to my lesser ailments!

Today is my sons birthday, the last till the autumn so no presents to buy for a while.

I am lusting after some large garden pots on eeeebay and a sundial.Essential in this day and age.I think I will have to sell some things so they will be money neutral.

    Happy St Georges day.Cx

Thank you pm2326 that's really helpful.I don't know why I'm worried because since joining the Good ship I am gradually paying my credit cards off,no more of them had enough. We are planning big changes because we are starting to see possibilities to the endless hamster wheel of life we have

Good Morning fellow matelots another no spend day foodwise at least. I have to spend out for a trim for my hair this morning but that will come from a seperate budget.I have to get a trim every 6-7 weeks as my hair grows so quickly and its very thick.

Stiill plowing through the freezer for dinners and I'm really pleased as I am definitely making do with what I have in there .
Tomorrow I am off up to London with my youngest DD and she is treating me to lunch and a matinee as a belated birthday present. She got the tickets in February for the show (Cats) but decided it would be better weather for travelling to see it in April. We have seen it before when she was a little girl (Brian Blessed was in it then :) and she thought it would be nice to see it again.
This afternoon I am off to History class as it resumes a new term, and I always enjoy that.

Tonights dinner will be something fishy from the freezer I think with peas and potato's.

Only 6 more days left in April and I have over £15 left in my food purse ,so a nice little chunk of change will go into the holiday fund again this month hopefully
have a good weekend everyone what ever you are doing
    Cheers JackieO xxx
