Sorry for your loss weesmiler.
Another no spend day here, plan is finish the washing and then do some knitting. I will finish that jumper.........this year.......promise....£71.93/ £180.000 -
Morning chums and <<hugs to weesmiler >>. Love your user name reminds me of my late Mum she was a 'weegie ' and used to call me that when I was a little girl:):):)
Well I had a VERY small spend yesterday only £3.30 out of my food budget.Bought bread (for sis-laws lunch, which she took home afterwards as I don't eat bread )
3 x leeks
1 x kilo carrots
1 cucumber.
veg will go in soup or cassreroles this week and cucumber in salads. My tiny gammon joint will feed me this week no problem as I only have three dinners to make as I'm out on Saturday night (birthday ) and Sunday night to dinner.Left over lasagne for lunch today, and porridge through the week to keep me warm for breakfast in the cold weather.Definitely no more shopping to buy at all foodwise, so my food purse is firmly locked with the remaining £56.70 inside for the rest of the month:):)Its a short month this month day 4 and only 24 to go so there should be a decent amount to go into the holiday fund at the end of the month (barring any sudden eventualities:):))
Just made a nice birthday card for my friend who shares a birthday with me and I'll see her on Friday afternoon so no need to post it.
Very happy at the way the good ship NBI is doing .One you get into the mind set its great to try and adapt stuff instead of just going to the shops It helps as well because the weather is so blooming chilly you really don't fancy trailing there anyway I much prefer to be indoors in the warm with a hot drink and my library book (got the latest Stuart Macbride book I ordered from the library and I'm really enjoying it )
Right off to do interesting soupy things in the kitchen with some leeks:):)
take care all

Hi glad you used Transferwise my eldest grandson works for them and he says they are the best in the business
JackieO xxxMy grandad died this afternoon, so I cancelled dinner plans. I work for a council and they don't consider grandparents to be immediate relatives, so I'm only entitled to one day off for the funeral. My gran also died 11 weeks ago and I rushed back to work and ended up completely burnt out and not coping after a few weeks, so I will be going to doctor tomorrow to see about having some time off now. I'm 21 weeks pregnant too, so the added hormones don't help.the response here has been huge for you, of course, just adding my own support as well. I hope your doctor understands the situation.

Hugs Weesmiler it sounds like you do need some time to grieve and a trip to the Doctors would help.
Welcome newbies.
Nothing much to report here have been food shopping here today.
I went to the bank first and got a shock there was less money in there than I thought. I had forgotten about one bill that I had paid, but when you've been a victim of bank fraud you panic anyway. Anyway that got me thinking as to what I really really needed. So absolutely no treats or flowers for me.
I have tried to do some more decluttering this evening and only got rid of two books. I have some hols in 2 weeks so I will try harder then.0 -
great news candygirl, gentle strokes to her from me0

evening shipmates!
Weesmiler sending you a hug! Take care of yourself and allow yourself some time to grive! It is up to you to decide how long it will take for you and not to your boss. Get a sick note if you think you need the time.
Candygirl, glad that it went well and she is fine! And I'm sure she'll get a lot of extra attention today!
Cinny I like the idea of telling somebody about spendings. Makes you think more about it before spending the money.
Savingqueen, my peg bag is a pillow case on a clothes hanger. Didn't saw why I should spend a fortune for a nice peg bag or just have an uggly one.
I had a spending day today, some water, bananas and bread. Plus the first bits of a present for a friend. She'll get a jar filled with sewing supplies as she doesn't have any now that she lives in her own flat and couldn't even fix a button if she wanted to....
Have a nice evening everyone!Fashion on the Ration 2022: 5/66 coupons used: yarn for summer top 5 /
