Will be spending on food tomorrow but I have a plan and a list. It will be paid for with the giftcard my dad got me for Xmas.
I was wondering a lot of you seem to be sorting out your clothes. I have looked at mine and found a few things I don't like any more. I still have enough clothes to last me several years but I like them all and they fit. Would you keep them and just not buy any? Get rid of them and buy new as needed? I was thinking of putting some away then if I get bored with something just swap it with something from my stash.
  • NatNat13 - I feel for you. I'm going through a bad patch with my BF too. Didn't want to read and run . I'm feeling unloved and ignored. I tried to sort it out (as I always do) but this time I feel different. Maybe men are from Mars  I've sort of given up as he carries on as normal.
Anyhow on a good note I tallied up my week and I underspent in food (not surprising as again NatNat13 BF ate a lot . So I've kept the money in an envelope and I'm going to treat myself for a change.
My spends were OK as well even though I hadn't expected to buy 4 Christmas presents and a main Birthday present ( all for £26)including wrapping paper etc.
Fleabay Profit and a few days off will see me decluttering more and I feel a spring clean coming along. I have a couple of diy jobs need doing and a few friends to visit will keep me occupied. Been feeling a bit low, but realised I can't change BF so I must change my attitude and do what I like now.
I have so much to be grateful for mayb I should declutter him and start thinking about a dating site :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Boring beige - If you really like them store them for a while and come back to the bag in a while.
See what you really want to keep and wear it you'll soon find there maybe some you don't wear. I've sorted out my summer wardrobe and vac sacked them to fit in a plastic storage box. When the weather gets better I will sort them out and fleabay the ones I don't want as I do need a couple of pairs of linen trousers and more tops with sleeves.
I'm gradually going through my winter wardrobe and hoping next week to have photographed most of them which I've decided to transfer (when its fixed) to my laptop so I can sort the pictures into categories and fleabay the ones I don't want.
I thought by photographing everything I will be able to see what goes with what and what I have too much of (ie t shirts or not enough of).
This will give me a project as I need something to keep me occupied in these dark winter days. I tend to hang onto dresses I feel I'm too old for now. But am now thinking on the lines of someone getting pleasure in wearing what I can't anymore.
  • More eBay sales, another 25 pounds tonight and one more item I don't need going to someone who will make use of it.

Anytime I sold stuff on eBay I'd just leave it in PayPal and buy more crap with it. This is going in an online savings account, is my brothers birthday next month so I'll spend it on him.

:):) I'd keep the stuff you like which fits and just shop your cupboard rather than the stores. I detest clothes-shopping as mass-manufacturing can't seem to cater for my body-type (tall and large-boned but not fat). Most of the stuff is scaled all wrong. Frugal Queen was going on about the difficulties she has buying clothes which fit her and I was nodding along with each point going yep, yep ,yep, me too, sister.

Today is a half-day at work due to a training course later this week which has caused my working hours to be totally re-arranged. As a one-off, I'm cool with that, and it'll give me a chance to nip into the walk-up hair-dresser. I shall also return some library books and take some more out, plus have started reading one of last year's c.s. books which will then go to my kid brother, who runs a home business selling books online. As I recall, this one is worth a few quid secondhand, so he can have it.

Have had a funny old month of spends thus far; washing machine, a birthday gift, under £5 in groceries, and a haircut today. If I keep it up, doing the monthly accounts will be a walk in the park.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I would keep the ones that you like and which fit, and simply avoid buying any more. If you get rid of them and end up having to buy more, that will leave you out of pocket

I have come to the conclusion that am not one of life's declutterers :o Fine to get rid of junk, or sell or donate clothes and other items that I can no longer use, but I prefer to keep a bit of a stock of necessary items as a hedge against difficult times - but then I avoid shopping as much as possible because I don't like it, so it depends where you are coming from I suppose.

Having said that, I did manage to declutter the drawers of an old desk over the weekend. I found 2 packs of those poly pocket things for paperwork, that must have been there years, and loads of different computer cables. The poly pockets went to my DDIL as she is a student and uses them in her course files, and the cables are being freecycled. Lots of rubbish went in the bin too :)

    Morning all,

Not had chance to read here properly for a few days now, but wish to say NatNat, thinking of you.

Been mighty busy with shredding, never again will I let the paper monster dictate! On the last stretch today and then it is time to start decluttering the footstool and sideboard.

I nearly succumbed and made an amazon purchase, but luckily this morning I still had time to cancel it.

Was ill yesterday with sickness so not going out until Wednesday this week so will be a couple more no spend days.

I hope you are all keeping well.

    Take care.

Today I have to pay for a taxi (there & back) to my hydro physio appointment. It will cost me £11 and I always feel I should leave a tip, I know a lot of my friends have stopped tipping but I just feel so guilty. Maybe I should call this day mean Monday, lol.

I have no further spends anticipated until Thursday when we top up the milk. Also my son has announced he wants his hair to grow longer, so no hair cuts for the next few months .

For Xmas I got myself online ukelele lessons for £19 (was £129), so that along with my jewellery wirework is my years entertainment sorted.........The simple things

sorry for the rushed post x
