I still find that to be two seperate, but related, actions.
Both kids ran to mum. Mums reacted differently.
The comments were designed to make the ex-Bf seem immature ( probably is) but failed to recognise that the only reason for this posts very existence is that OPs daughter did the exact same thing.
So if a child actually tells their Mum whats going on in their lives, , then that's "running to Mum"? Sorry, but what a load of codswhallop.0 -
What mother would defend any off spring behaving the way he has is beyond me, I'm far from happy.
Is it me or what? I'd never dream of sending something so disgusting.I still find that to be two seperate, but related, actions.

I read it differently to you if that's what you think.
fin7's rant was about the way the mother behaved, not that her son had told her about the break-up.0 -

You started numerous threads on here when you were posting under a different username asking for help about your situation with your ex and kids. I find it incredible that you start thread after thread about your own situation asking for help from people on the internet and thats ok (because loads of people do it on here), but you are criticising someone for looking to their mum for support.
You needed support, you got it, more than once. The OP's daugher needed support, there is no difference.
You always pop up on threads to criticise people, I don't know why you do it.0 -

Telling your mum when your boyfriend has cheated on you and his mother is sending you abusive messages, and you need her support is a very normal response.
Telling your mum that you've cheated on your girlfriend and your mum reacting by sending abusive messages on facebook is not normal or mature, or acceptable in any way.
Op and her daughter didn't do anything wrong!0 -
I was referring specifically to comment 7.
'Little boys run to their mummies'. And was highlighting the fact that the girl did the same thing.
At no point did I criticise the OP or her daughter...
I actually agree that families are there to support. What I found difficult and confusing was that one person was being made fun of, whilst the other not, for both seeking support from their respective families.
The reactions, the abusive messages etc. not on.
But clearly I either didn't communicate my point properly, or the irony is lost.0 -
I always "run to my mummy" with a problem. She's my all time favourite person to confide inOur Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

There were different responses because one person ran to mum for support while the other ran to mum to get her to fight his battles for him.0 -
Nothing wrong with going to your parents for a bit of morale support when you've been hurt or feel a bit confused. My Mum has been there for me every time when I've needed it.
This bloke is just playing the field, clearly seeing multiple girls at once and got busted. Regardless of it being his Mum who sent the message, she needs to bin him off, she's just an object to him. It's always darkest before the dawn.

Just a bit of a rant really.
My daughter (19) has been in a relationship with someone from her college course. All seemed well, he's been here a few times and seemed ok, a couple of little things that I couldn't put my finger on but kept out of it.
Last night he asked her to meet him after work along the sea front, she drove there and waited, and waited, he never turned up, he finally sent a text saying that a friend had asked him to help her sort her car insurance out so he had gone there, after all you've got to help a friend out. so, my daughter had sat in the car, late at night, on the sea front on her own.
Today it's come to light he's been seeing at least three girls, they've contacted each other and his lies are endless, he sent her an abusive text message, I told her to ignore him. About an hour later she received a message via Facebook from his mother! It was disgusting, full of abuse, foul language, I'm shocked and totally gobsmacked. What mother would defend any off spring behaving the way he has is beyond me, I'm far from happy.
Is it me or what? I'd never dream of sending something so disgusting.
I just wanted to get that off my chest
Well, at least you know why that man is a POS. Nature vs nurture.0
