do you air your bed?

watching anthea last night, she recommended airing the bed every morning (ie. stripping off duvet and opening windows) in order to kill/discourage dust mites. I remember another programme about asthma suggested doing the same.
OH is a fresh air fiend and likes to have the beds aired...but in my struggle to keep tidy I prefer to make the bed as soon as I get up.
Just wondered what other people do!

Yep.
We have a feather duvet and thick mattress topper so it needs airing everyday. I tend to give the duvet a good shake and hang it off the door whilst giving the featherbed a good shake and leaving them like that till lunch time with the windows open.0 -
We do most days - if we haven't overslept!Dream of being mortgage free....

I always pull my throw or duvet to end of the bed to air the mattress.
Its just a habit now.Aiming to be Debt free by October 20130 -

Once we're up in the morning, I fold back the duvet and then open the windows. I usually then make the bed later on in the morning when doing the housework so couple of hours maybe something like that. I've never timed it really.Marriages are made in heaven, but then again so is thunder and lightning!!!.....getting divorced lol :j

Me too - I do the same as salster
And every other month I hoover the mattress (turn over & hoover both sides) and wash the mattress protector also.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
