Sorry to see that the sale is all up in the air. Selling and buying can be so stressful, you're stuck in limbo and things are outside your control. It's a wonder anyone bothers :) I'm hoping to sell next year but really not looking forward to it. Needs must though. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Thanks Ena, I think it's all sorted now so it appears it was all unnecessary stress and worry. I hate moving too, it's awful!! I know there's a massive positive at the end of it but goodness me it's never easy! I know a few people who move every couple of years and I honestly don't know how they deal with it all lol. This next place for me is definitely long term then I imagine one more move somewhere down the line to a peaceful country cottage when I'm old and grey!

Just another quick note to say I've finalised the budget now for September. The issues with the buyer have hopefully been resolved and we should be able to move forwards. I don't think we'll confirm a date for a few weeks so I've put a little less money into the moving fund, and a little more money into the Christmas fund instead. If we do move before the end of the month I can just move the money back around. It also means I can pay £100 off my Very account instead of £60, so I've done that this morning.

I've also added up the totals in all my savings accounts and I have just over £1,500. Just shows that I can save when I put my mind to it. Of course it'd be nice if this money was just for general savings and not allocated to stuff like moving, vet fees, course fees etc. But at least it's there.

Paid £2 off my credit card this morning as I forgot to make a payment yesterday. Yesterday was a NSD so I've had 1 out of my target of 15 this month already. Today should be a NSD too. The shopping delivery is coming later but I don't count that as it's paid for from it's own budget.

Been a busy few days. Unfortunately had an emergency trip to the vet on Friday morning which resulted in euthanasia :( that sucked but it was the best option. Nothing much to report, went out for a cheap dinner last night (less than £10) and have just been having a quiet weekend. 3 NSD's so far since payday. Dreading work tomorrow as I have to deliver training to our sessional workers who essentially don't listen to anything we say and just want to do things their own way... It's gonna be a long day.
  • Ah no - so sorry to hear about piggy (I assume). Lots of love to you x

Quick update, I've had 4 NSD's in the 8 days since payday and have been making a token £1 PAD to my cc too. The next three days won't be NSD's as I have to pay for public transport but I'm sure I can make up for it somewhere else.

Well the last couple of days have been a little spendy. I've been on training and the plan was to drive to work and then catch the bus to the training about 20 minutes away. Things didn't go to plan either day, my commute has taken 2 1/2 hours just to get in so I've had to pay for parking instead of the bus as I've been late both days. Not sure how much earlier I can leave the house!! Traffic has been abysmal, there's talk of us moving to this office where I'm training and I would seriously have to consider leaving if that happened, I can't cope with this journey in plus another 2 hours home. It's that little bit further into London and the roads are shocking. Can't take the train as they're on strike, plus it would cost £25 a time... Crazy.

Other than that, as I've had to spend on parking I've also just taken the opportunity to buy a couple of bits I needed online so I don't ruin my NSD target later on. Transferred £50 into my Xmas pot as well. One more day of training and then I'm back to normal next week. This week has been all meetings and training, feels so long and also don't feel like I've done any work so am panicking a bit.

No news on the house front either yet, it's now starting to drag. Not sure if we'll be in by the end of the month but here's hoping.
  • Ugh, that sounds like a real pain - hope it's sorted out soon x

Glad it's Friday! Am currently soaking my hair in coconut oil in my dressing gown with a cuppa. 30 going on 70 :rotfl: Training is done, I'm officially a first aider :j today should've been a NSD but I was naughty and bought a chocolate bar at work  It was worth it though hehe.

I decided I'm going to try and go vegan for a week, maybe two, just to see if I can do it. I don't think I'll do it long term (will miss chocolate too much :p) but if I can do it for two weeks then maybe I'll do it every month. Shopping delivery is coming on Tuesday night so I'm starting from Wednesday morning.

Money wise everything is looking fine. I've only had 4/11 NSD's so I'm going to try over the weekend to rectify that!
