Potted the last of the cash I have in my wallet as it's payday tomorrow (yes!!!!). Potted £11.28, boy it feels good! I've never had this sort of money 'lying around' before, and a week or so after joining the SPC8 I've got loads!0

I had a fabulous meal out this evening with the women from my WI book group and it was the most expensive meal I've had out for ages. However, it came in under budget for the week although I now have only £3 left till Monday out of my spends a/c. However, I still have some money in my holding pot if necessary and quite a bit left in my H/K budget.
Next year I am going to just have one budget for H/K and sundry spending, at least I will start January that way and see how it goes. That will cover all of my cash spending and anything left each week will go into my holding pot and transfer once a month to my sealed pot. In addition, if I make savings on purchases I will add that to my sealed pot, unless I wouldn't buy it at full price.
I've a £6 voucher off a £40 shop, but I'm wondering if it will be false economy to try to spend £40 before Christmas and just buy the minimum I need.Not Rachmaninov

Could you buy stuff you will need which you can keep? When I get one of these I normally bulk buy washing powder/fabric softener (although we have to buy Ecover because my DD has bad eczema, so it doesn't actually run to much).£2 savers club #33

Got a large box of washing powder today from Sainsbury's: usually costs £16, and was £11. So I popped the £5 I saved in the pot.No debt left now. Saved £111 in our sealed pot last year. And £272.13 this year! Also we have £2300 in savings. :j
SPC #468Target £250 for 2015.

Hope you're feeling better soon Sue and in time for Christmas so you can enjoy the festive season.
Have potted my first of the year, over £5 in change. Not sure I'm going to be potting a lot over 2015 but every little helps and all that.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170
