  • Well done to all participants of SPC07. Just joined this year. Only today got a proper tin to pot. I had some 5.05p to pot. Talked hubby into joining me as I am saving towards mortgage overpayment. He produced £40 that he has been secretly saving. He usually pays for parking at work. He has found free parking a mile away and walks, saving about £3.50 a week :D

2014 grand total has given me even more encouragement.

DH came home from the pub and handed me £7.92 in change which included 2 x £2 coins that he told his mate he had to swap up for me 'if you want to stay in her good books' :D

  • Oh! For anyone looking for sealed tins, poundland has some. I found it quite hard to get cheap ones. These ones have to be broken carefully to get my hands on the cash. So it is definitely safe until Nov 05th. They are quite big as well. Mostly cartoon pictures though.

Did a bit of tidying up and found DH's decret stash of change so felt I should remove it from his dirty recycled tub and make it warm and cosy in my tin :D also managed to find my first roadkill of the new challenge :j :j yes 1 whole pence left in the self service at my local 'every little helps' store! yes it does Mr T, yes it does ;)

Have just had to get very cross with DS as finally got round to having a look at his online school report and he has basically done no work what so ever this term, has gone from being above target on nearly all his lessons to well below on over half and on target for only 4. Have now banned him from his online game until his grades improve and upon his 'but we don't get regraded till the end of next term!' wails, got told categorically 'tough'.
Seriously people, don't have a teen! see if you can skip straight from the pre teens to the adult with a job section! :rotfl:

Bless you for your beautiful words, Observer. :kisses3: I can't tell you what that meant. I really do enjoy it all though and love the immense pleasure gained and splendid vibes of those who might otherwise have saved very little if, at all. Very many thanks to you, and for your help on the reminder threads, that was a Godsend! :A

So Sue, that means that in the last 6 years you've helped more than 2000 people to save more than £266,000 between them. :money::T:T:T:T:T

That doesn't include year 1 because it's not in your siggy :)

I think that officially makes you AWSOME

Put like that, Rosy, it IS BALLY AWESOME!!!!! yay.gif
I often wish SPC 1 hadn't got lost, but can't turn the clocks back, though in fairness it was nowhere like any of tothers for certain! D'you fancy being our Total's totter-upper each year:question:!!! I hope so! :heartsmil

So very sorry to hear about your tyres, Merry, but surely they would have been tested in an MOT?! Can't ask my beloved as he's just taken our DD to test-drive a car after theirs was written off the Thursday before last by a careless woman! It must be that time of year, Merry, but at least nothing happened to them when you were driving - a huge consolation! :)

Sorry to read about your cooker, jakes-mum, but so pleased the chap will be there for you on the 23rd.

Thanks so very much, Lynne, you've been a gem lately too. :A

I guess you'll be sleeping a whole lot better now, waking refreshed too I hope! ;) I'm feeling much better now, thanks, my throat is fine now, just want the chest to get well soon and the antibiotics to stop messing with my tummy. :( I'm a patient soul though...at times. ;)

Hi moneymanager, good to see you saving again for 2015. However, I think I remember you saying you still had your cash to count up for 2014, am I correct??! If so, please go to the SPC 7 link here ASAP and I will add it to the Grand Total. Thank you.

  • Hi all

Wow grand total for SPC 07 congrats every one:T

Very happy to announce that my little princess have arrived safe and sound on 10 Dec 2014. Today she is already 10 days old and changing everyday. We are all so smitten by her and she is keeping us very busy.

Did not leave home since 10 days no spending hence no potting.

Sue my target is still same but not spending on baby stuff anymore as baby is here just saving :)
