Thanks for the help, Vicky, and a gold star for doing so. :staradminhope to keep this momentum going for the whole year
Will catch up tomorrow!
I'm sure you will, newthrift, always keep budgeting, saving and your pot in mind and you can't go far wrong!Even a little soon mounts up.
Don't worry about what you say here, ETO, we're a caring 'family' unit and if it helped just a little, then why not. It would have to be a person void of compassion who wouldn't like it - and that isn't us!32b3 is so right in that it's the first year that's the worst, going through all the events you would have celebrated together, being there for each other will get you through this. In time you will still have happy events of a different nature to look ahead to, where you have a little treasure in life, it's inevitable! xxx
The box you have in mind sounds ideal, Rosy.
Well done, Meowhouse, I'm so glad you succeeded with the vouchers! :jSaver-upper wrote:Will pot 63p in small coins when I go upstairs.Because the pots are so hollow at the moment, I've got to wait til the kids are asleep so they don't hear me potting and come in and demand their cut .
:rotfl: I had to smile at that, Saver-upper, I can just imagine you having almost stuffed something in your pot to muffle the sounds! Talk about confessions of a silent potter. :rotfl:
[Edit] Just phoned SSE and YES.......we're having our £300 plus refunded!!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j:j:jFantastic news! Many thanks to you, Saver-upper for that. A gold star for helping out for certain!!! :staradmin You too, jakes-mum!!! :staradmin
I know nothing about the P!nasonic breadmakers, cattysmum, all I can ever remember about breadmakers in general is that when our DD bought one we all started to put on weight as it was delicious - she's never used it since! :eek:That wasn't much help to you though
, but maybe it'll bring your query to the attention of others.
A busy time for my DH & I, findingmyfeet, as sparky was too busy due to his poor Wife recovering from a mystery illness. My hubby has really enjoyed it all though. Won't be long now until the Grand Total is announced!!! :dance:Enjoy Monday everyone, and if you're able to save....fantastic!!
Sue xNB: SPC Savers: 5th November will be the date of 2015 opening day!

I had two weeks money in my purse last week and overspent on my food budget but had money left from my other cash budget. I put the balance of that into my pot, £13.65. I decided not to cross subsidy.
Now I have to see if I can manage this week with a reduced food budget.
If I do manage to only use the food money I have budgeted for this month then I will have kept to the budget I made for the whole year which will probably be a first. Not Rachmaninov

Thanks Everyone for the warm welcome
Sue, I have checked the first 2 posts and on the 2nd post my name isn't up there yet, but I'll keep checking back and add my number to my sig once I have one.
I'll make myself a pot from something I have lying around the house, an old coffee jar or something.
cattysmum- I have a breadmaker and LOVE it! I have just replaced an old Morphy Richards one with a cheap one from Argos (Cookworks). I make lots of different types of bread (obviously!), rolls and pizza dough. As Sue pointed out though, it can make you eat more bread because its SO nice! So I make a mini loaf 2-3 times a week and it is always gone within a day or 2!
Have a great day everyone0 -

Morning, another shiny pound coin potted yesterday into my new sealed tin, looking forward to seeing grand total for SPC number 7, my OH has started to participate as well, though he pots his own 20p pieces in his own pot, but going to try to persuade him to join forces with me, my pot money from SPC 7 went towards holiday fund, but this challenge I have decided I would like a Panasonic breadmaker, apparently the king of breadmakers according to someone I know, any thoughts on the subject of breadmakers?
I believe Panasonic are supposed to be the best - I'm on my second, I wore out the first one making walnut bread, I think the dough got too stiff for the motor. So if you're going to do fancy stuff with bits in, or rye flour, probably best to go for the top-of-the-range with the more powerful motor. Go on, you know you're worth it!
They do make luuurvely bread
No potting for me today, I have a lonely tenner in my purse and I'm trying to see how long I can keep it :rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
