Thanks Sue for that link, very interesting
I tried an overlocker out at the Knitting & Stitching show yesterday, I think I'm going to go for it!
Jakes-mum, can I ask what kind of things you'll be making with yours? I'm thinking clothes but it must have more uses?

Lol, yes someone posted about it on FB, I was swearing when I saw the price, but the mammouth amount of thread and extras that came with mine mollified me slightlyTheDapster wrote: »Thanks Sue for that link, very interesting

i am currently making crayon rolls, hand bags, ipad stands and pe kit bags, I do have a pair of shorts for DD that need sewing together (only had them cut and pinned for 2 months :rotfl:) so will try and get those done soon, oh and DH's heat pack will be getting overlocked top and bottom before being finished off on the sewing machine. I'm finding it excellent for the main stitching on most items and then whipping the sewing machine out for the finishing

Just £2.22 potted over the weekend of which 7p was roadkill.
I've been paying with a card to build up cashback. Please don't smack my hand Sue. I am still potting whatever I can get my hands on.
Get well wishes to all and their families. (((Hugs)))S.P.C. 9 2016 No. 062 Banked £337.50

I've just come back from my holiday with 2 £2 coins which will go in my sealed pot.
I should have some housekeeping money left this month as I have a separate account for my holiday spending so only have 3 weeks this month to buy groceries. Also I have a very full freezer.
Will need the challenge to end as I have two very full tins which won't take much more!

If you would like to join us you don't have to wait though, you can join today and either open on the 5th Nov with the rest of us or just keep your pots going till next November, just pop a message on here if you'd like to join up and Sue-UU will give you your very own one of a kind number.SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

We all restart immediately the old one is finished. However, you can join any time, why not join in now and get into the potting habit straight away whilst the inspiration has found you.
You can then open with us on the 5th November or carry it over into the next year, just as you feel.
You just need to pop back and say you are starting now and Sue will give you a number when she passes this way. If you read the first post it will give you all the info you need.
Look forward to seeing you on here
