A shiny gold star for you, scotmumof3, many thanks. :staradmin I hope you had a really lovely holiday.
Afternoon all Potters! I hope you've all had a smashing weekend doing all the things you like not loathe. Ready tor the week ahead?! :j No! Oh well, not to worry. Take good care of yourselves, everyone, and keep as safe and as healthy as you can. Love and {{{hugs}}} to all those who are in need of them, take special care of yourselves.lynnejk wrote:Enjoy the weekend and don't forget to tell your nearest and dearest how much you love them
That was so sweet, Lynne, I always do with my treasure, young'ns too of course. I've been picturing you watching the tennis today, sadly I couldn't and tomorrow we are up to Hampshire all day, but it's a good visit to my precious 2nd Mum and she's a treasure so really looking forward to it. Look out Wednesday though!!
It's great to hear you're clearing up after DH and have trained your DD, Seaotter, wonderful work.Sue - yes, I could hit that "GRAND", by setting little targets along the way. One good month (July), could well get me ahead of schedule and would enable a more relaxed "run-in".
Good news yesterday, we've (I'm taking some credit, along with some cash - lol) been offered £50 compensation for what I can say was multiple errors. We would have accepted £30, so the extra £20 will go into the pot in July, once received. Hopefully next week. The rest on treats.
I potted 1 x £2 coin and 7 x £1 coins = £9
That's me ahead of my June target (just) and still a few days of the month left. Another £5 - £10 would be nice and would take the pressure off July. But, June has been a great potting month.
Lynsey
Oh, very well done, Lynsey! Just what you needed to get a step ahead, and still not need to fret about saving enough. I hope your day at the seaside was a wonderful one. PS. Just seen your latest post and YES!!! :j The lady protests no more and WILL go for gold!! Consider it done, Lynsey!!
Good to see you, Donna, and great work with your pot.
Well saved, Modesty, any fishing recently?
Looks like you're going to be hellish busy, chickadee, but such a great relief to know your DS is well....and is now back home! :dance:Merrylegs1 wrote: »I've managed to get myself back to work!!! It's been great, if exhausting, to get some normality back and I'm looking forward to having some extra change to go into my pot too .
Another positive is that I managed to fill my first pot & ive moved onto my second ! I won't have massive amounts like some of you (£500-£750 a GRAND- wow!) but it will all help come the festive season.
Merry x
Fantastic news about your job, Merry, but do take it carefully and rest well. BTW, it's not about how much others save (we all have different circumstances), the most important thing is YOU and that goes for all of us. Whatever we save is huge as so many have yet to see the light and so much is spent willy-nilly. Be proud whatever the amount!! :j
You sound just like my DD, jakes-mum, heat affects her MS terribly and makes all the symptoms come back. Stay hydrated and keep south facing curtains drawn then open up in the cool part of the evening - IF you can find it! Our DD used to sleep walk, she came down late one night and opened the larder door and reached for the squash bottle. I asked what she was doing - "Going to have a wee" was the reply and she started to squat over the bottle!!!!!!! What if I'd been in the living room and not hear her!!
Lovely to see you back and know you had such a brilliant time, Dragon Lily. Good news on the potting front also.
Cor you did bloomin well with that bag, lucyhope, what a synch!! :T The family photo shoot so it now includes ALL the family members was a terrific idea, a Birthday to remember for certain!girlatplay wrote:Hugs to everyone, even if you don't think you need it. Hugs release a feel good chemical.
You are so right, Gap, keep hugging everyone and lets release the love so we all feel good!

Thanks Sue-UU. My holiday was lovely and I managed to not put on any weight - very pleased:j I was careful with what I ate most days but still enjoyed myself and had a treat now and then - Cream teas, ice cream and chips mmmh
Weight loss now 8 lbs. My aim is to lose a stone by the end of July.
Potted £1.00 today. Didn't spend much as spent most of the day sitting in the garden knitting under a parasol.
Hope everyone has been enjoying the sun - working or not. Apparently the good weather will last all week - yippee!:staradmin Star from Sue-UU
