Afternoon all.
crimson.addict - good luck and well done clearing that debt. Even though it's "interest free", I can still understand wanting to be rid of it.
We're paying an "interest free" loan on my Sons car (helped him out - paying approx half) and that has approx 12 months to go (4 year loan). It will go the journey though, but it's only just over £80 per month. Approx £1k to go and then I'll feel like I'll be having a rise. lol
More for the pot then I suppose, unless something else comes along!!
Potted 7 x £1 coins and now only £8 short of that £650 June target.
I'll set some sort of target for July, but I'm not too sure yet. It will be at least £100 though and once I've worked a few things out. I might push for £120 (minimum), approx £30 per week average. Now, that would get me to £770+ by the end of July. Then just over 3 months (Aug, Sept, Oct and 5 days of Nov to get approx £230). All sounds easy, yes??

Evening all SPCers! I hope you've all had a reasonable week, better still a darned good one and are ready for the weekend!! :j Take great care of yourselves, everyone, and keep as safe and as healthy as you can. Love and {{{hugs}}} to all those who are poorly or who aren't feeling too great right now, I hope it won't be long before you are much better again.
Not long until July now, Lynsey, and I truly hope you fulfill your Target. :T To you last post: No, it doesn't sound easy, but it's doable and being as it's you, yes, I reckon you'll do it!!!
Good saving, Hicksy. Thanks for remembering Sue-UU. The bad news is that the ankle fracture has still not healed and apparently they have to allow 16 weeks for a fracture such as this. I have another four weeks to go and then they will have another look.
The good news is that it's not so swollen or painful now - although still not able to do much and having lots of resting it elevated. I have been promised physio once it's healed so will get back mobility.
Hardest part is not being able to get out and about and the boredom is difficult. I am looking forward to next week though as then Wimbledon starts and I have the perfect excuse to watch it all for once :rotfl:
Lx
Oooh I have certainly haven't forgotten you, Lynne, though what a shame it's taking so long to heal, still....it will but it sounds as though you'll be in need of that physio then. Meanwhile, enjoy every ball hit during Wimbledon, I know I'll watch as much as possible. Take care!
So long as you're still squirreling, Daddybear, then that's all we ask. Great to see you drop in.32b3in2013 wrote: »Training for my 10k starts started again tonight. I have 3 weeks to go, so I need to step it up a bit!

I'm sure you will step it up enough and go all out with your 10k run, 32b3...pretend there's a pot of cash at the end!!!! :j
What to do with £80 birthday money, lucyhope?? You really need suggestions? Stick it in the pot til Christmas and then decide. I'm so happy you you enjoyed yourself and have a wonderful time tomorrow!
You can bet your DS's having a great time, chickadee, when you hear from them they usually want something! Typical of lads!crimson.addict wrote:£6.40 added from my lovely mother.
Apparently I had bought her a box of expensive tea some time ago and she had been putting 20p away every time she had a cup.
In other news: I only need to save £177.31 in the next 2 weeks and I'll be debt free a whole month early!!!!
You're Mum is just brilliant, Ruth!! Talk about a favour for a favour, bless her. Re the £177.31....go on Ruth you CAN do it and get shot of that debt!!!!!!!!
£1.95 is still good, Helen, and sooooo much better than nothing! You're doing so very well this year, keep it up along with your chin!
Another £10 in the pot after the shopping.Have a wonderful weekend, Potters! Don't forget your pots are always in need of new friends!

Hiya everyone :hello:
Sue-UU - thanks for the kind words. I'm getting excited about Wimbledon already and most meals already in the freezer :rotfl:
Have potted another weekly £7 and then tipped my purse in - no idea how much but a few £1 and £2 coins waterfalled in amongst the silver and shrapnel
Hope you all keeping well and hugs for anyone needing some.
Enjoy the weekend and don't forget to tell your nearest and dearest how much you love them

I've been potting away quietly, occasionally 'redeploying' change that DH has left when emptying his pockets. DD2 is getting the hang of this now - when I give her money for her activities (dancing, choir and the like) then she puts the change in the pot before I see it, bless her. Just need to train everyone else now!Declutter our home in 2024

Morning all and a nice one here.
Hope all are well, or at least feeling better.
Sue - yes, I could hit that "GRAND", by setting little targets along the way. One good month (July), could well get me ahead of schedule and would enable a more relaxed "run-in".
Good news yesterday, we've (I'm taking some credit, along with some cash - lol) been offered £50 compensation for what I can say was multiple errors. We would have accepted £30, so the extra £20 will go into the pot in July, once received. Hopefully next week. The rest on treats.
I potted 1 x £2 coin and 7 x £1 coins = £9
That's me ahead of my June target (just) and still a few days of the month left. Another £5 - £10 would be nice and would take the pressure off July. But, June has been a great potting month.
Off to the seaside later, there is an annual family event. Nice day for it.
Have a great weekend, enjoy.
