Afternoon SPCers! I hope you all had a really wonderful weekend and enjoyed the sun. :D Take great care of yourselves, everyone, and keep as safe and as healthy as is possible. Love and {{{hugs}}} to all those who are poorly or who aren't feeling too great right now, I hope it won't be long before you are much better again.

Ok then, Lynsey, we will remain hopeful for you that July sees you with a great Total and the impetus (and money!) to go for gold for November! :j Relaxed saving is good I agree, but how about the relaxation after having saved a £1000...I'd be flat out (smiley depicting it!!

    Evening

Just potted £4.02. That's the change from a meal out in a pub. My friend is having wisdom teeth out tomorrow so tonight was her last proper meal for a while, so we all went out to a pub :)

Ooooh that sounds painful, 32b3, I hope she's feeling very much better now, though it'll take a little while to heal fully.

I'm sure you've chosen the right decision, alisont, in going for a surprise rather than recording your cash; just think low and you can't go wrong.

Hugs to you, Helen, with that awful hay fever. They always reckon you should expose yourself to the thing you're allergic to in order to get free from it....though in "expose" I don't think they mean as you almost did in your costume!!! :rotfl: BTW, beware of spending needlessly on expensive cold capsules as colds go just as quick naturally. I hope you soon feel a lot better.

I wondered of you mean holding purse, GAP, good for you.

I like the chanting to Lynsey, Ruth, maybe we should all join in. I like summer...if it wasn't for the wicked heat!! We go from winter to summer without getting spring to climatise ourselves so how the duce are we supposed to sleep properly!!

I'm still here!! I'm still potting! Just over £30 until I hit my target, hopefully I can accomplish that next month, in which case I will move my goal to £400! Eeek.

That's brilliant, NotNormal!!! All the best for whatever Target you're seeking. :j

    Well saved, Kerry.

How is your foot/ankle going now, Lynne? I hope you're soon much better with it.

Ooops! Poor old puss cost you dearly then, lucyhope!! Still, your intentions were good. Are you sure DD2 hasn't got another little treasure hiding behind DGC1? I'd love to have had twins, but can appreciate it must be hard work.
Belated, but very Happy Birthday wishes to you!!!! :bdaycake:I hope you had an amazing time, just as YOU would want, have to agree with your hating being the centre of attention - horrible.

About time you showed up, mcjordi, good to see you and know you're saving well.

I hope your DS has a really lovely holiday, chickadee - and that you had a good night's sleep last night.

Oh dear, Pollygarter, there you are helping your young'ns to think about motoring in a more careful light, then......you prove how careful you need to be too, still, not a bad thing. Go careful. :naughty:

All the very best in new name new way of living, saving etc, Selene! I've given you No 483 and will leave No 80 for the next member to join us. I've also updated your Target, best wishes in getting there, but be so proud whatever you save! :DBTW Citirizine is a good antihistamine to take, but if yours is only mild maybe you need to see your Dr to be sure.

Great saving, DeafLeopard, keep it going!!! :j

Save as hard and often as you can, 8-of-us, and lovely to see you again.

Have a super Monday, Potters! Don't forget your pots are always in need of new friends!

Thanks for remembering Sue-UU. The bad news is that the ankle fracture has still not healed and apparently they have to allow 16 weeks for a fracture such as this. I have another four weeks to go and then they will have another look.

The good news is that it's not so swollen or painful now - although still not able to do much and having lots of resting it elevated. I have been promised physio once it's healed so will get back mobility.

Hardest part is not being able to get out and about and the boredom is difficult. I am looking forward to next week though as then Wimbledon starts and I have the perfect excuse to watch it all for once :rotfl:

Hope all going well for everyone and you're all getting some heart-lifting sunshine. My thoughts are with all those not feeling 100% or with family that are poorly

Afternoon all and pretty grim up here today!! Better weather expected later in the week (fingers crossed).

-Selene - good luck with the change, hope it works for you. Sometimes it can have a positive effect - new start etc.

Just bought 4 pints of milk today for £1. Used a £5 note and received a £2 coin and 2 x £1 coins - potted. 8 days left in June - £27 needed.

Thank you Sue-UU and Lynsey :D Am off to add my new number into my sig now, and have potted 17p today... have another £1.51 in my purse but have resolved to always keep a penny in my purse now following jakes-mum's advice about pennies attracting friends, and have £1.50 in Olympic/commemorative 50ps. The trouble with these is I don't have a safe place for them so they're scattered everywhere, and I think I have doubles or even triples, but I daren't pot them just in case I'm wrong... (I know they're just 50ps but I saw the Olympic coins on sale for £4.50  so daren't spend them in case they're not replaced :o)

On the plus side it's 17p more in the pot than there was yesterday and I'm sure I shall have more to pot tomorrow after going to the shops :D

Go 32b3!! You can do that 10k!! :T

Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes, I had a lovely day, some surprises. DD2 was doing a BBQ for my birthday and Fathers Day, when we got there my brothers, their wives and kids were there! Lovely to see them, we don't get together often enough.
Don't know what's happening but I've to be ready for 10am Saturday, destination to be revealed.
Sue -UU, I wondered if there was one hiding behind the other, that's what happened with SIL, his mum didn't know she was having twins until he was delivered and there was another baby! Of course there weren't scans and all the other things then.
£80 birthday money, what to do with it?
