Just read the main post - so I will open my tin on 5th November - that will be 6 months of savings then I can start a new one. That way I'm joining in here which sounds fun:)
If that's ok to join in now - if not ill keep this one for12 months and then start in with the next challenge here.
It's never too late to join us, alisont. A very warm welcome to you! It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Have fun saving and enjoy the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on the 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
-alisont - you save as you wish, just be sure to keep a record of what you bank if you choose to save for your holidays after Christmas so it can all be declared next November.
A gold star for you, Lynne, and thank you for the help. :staradmin
Afternoon SPCers! I hope you're all having a great week and enjoying the sun where possible. Not long until the weekend.Take great care, everyone, keep as safe and as healthy as is possible. Love and {{{hugs}}} to all those who are poorly or who aren't on top of their game right now, I hope it won't be long before you are.
I thought you'd said it was DD, jakes-mum, but I couldn't have noticed you also spoke about Jake being away. Treasure the years they're in the nest as they fly by all too quickly! Well done on your DH having wormed a bike from you - however could that have happened??! It'll be lovely for him for the summer months though he mightn't be too keen in winter.
You must be going great guns, 32b3, your pot would at least indicate as much, well done you!!Thank for your Halifax input, I wonder if Santander do the same. Anyone know???
Good saving, Miami. What a calamity with your cash in the machine! Sparky always uses those, without problem I suppose, but like you, I'm blowed if I'd trust them either!
Well saved, banked and siggyed, Rosy. Re the Halifax....did you ever tell them you were a Potter?? No? Then maybe that's why they didn't tell you about the bags.Target now met.
Potted 2 x £2 coins and a £1 coin = £5 potted and now over the £600 target. See how the next month or two goes, before deciding whether to go for the GRAND. I'm tempted to bank the £600, but I like the thrill of banking it all at once come November. So, it will probably wait. But, Xmas 2015 is now "free" and I'm sure I'll find something to spend the rest on. We have a holiday in November booked, so possible spending money.
Re bags - I use the Post Office to bank it. They can't refuse as long as you're paying it into a bank account - we're with the Co-op (among others).

Excellent work, Lynsey!!!!! :T :jI'll bet a bob you go for the £1000...AND get it, you just can't resist now can you!!!! Go for it!! :money:
You're doing just great, Pollygarter, sounds as though the pot in the window is paying you great dividends...do you not let people in unless they pay??!It wasn't a suggestion mind. :rotfl:

See the first post about having a "holding pot", GAP, it helps. Or maybe you meant you were going to pot £5, but couldn't?
£17 in the pot after shopping! The extra £7 as a result of a £2 voucher on spending £30 and a £5 voucher earned over the last 3 or 4 weeks.Have a lovely Thursday, Potters! Keep those pots in mind always! :j

Just potted £4.02. That's the change from a meal out in a pub. My friend is having wisdom teeth out tomorrow so tonight was her last proper meal for a while, so we all went out to a pub
I hope everyone is well.

Put a few more coins in my pot today - still wondering if I should have recorded what's in there but it's going to be a nice suprise in November!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Morning Alisont....yep, your Sig is definitely there...and Welcome to the Gang....I tend to count any Notes that I put in my Pot but I don't count the Coins....but lots of people do it however they wish....But it IS rather nice to have a surprise when you open the Pot in November
Morning Everyone....Am dreadfully suffering with Hayfever at the moment....it's AWFUL!!!I can't take tablets as they react badly with some other regular Medication that I take, so I try to use some natural stuff....sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't!! Personally (don't hate me everyone) but I'm longing for Winter....I am a Winter Baby (born in January) and so I guess that's why I've always loved Winter....I mean, you get Halloween followed by Fireworks Night followed by Christmas followed by my Birthday....what could be better????
(I'll get my coat now....LoL)
Managed to Pot some silver yesterday....It's going to be a lean Week this Week....but that's okay....maybe next Week will be better

See the first post about having a "holding pot", GAP, it helps. Or maybe you meant you were going to pot £5, but couldn't?
I had £5 in my purse and was trying so hard not to spend it. I wanted to pot it if I still had it on Thursday. Ended up having to use £1.60 of it so potted £3.40. I suppose it was a holding "purse" rather than a pot but yes, that's why I held on to it, just in case I needed it
Nothing to pot today but no spends planned today either. It's Friday :jMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I hate summer (February baby)!! Not only us it ridiculously hot stopping me from sleeping at night, giving me heat stroke (no matter how much water i drink) and occasionally burning me.... but my lovely OH's hours are extended. In the summer, because the place is busy he works 11 hour days every day, sometimes longer. Also, my eyes are constantly offended by the nakedness of some people. Roll on winter, cosy evenings in front of the log burner curled up under a blanket!
I have about £10 to go into the pot at the moment. What's really bad is that it's currently sat in front of the pot waiting to be pottedSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4
