Morning Everyone
Yesterday turned out to be a really good day and a lot less stressful than I thought it was going to be.....And now I just have my Placement this morning until 1pm and then I'm home for the rest of the Afternoon....which is really nice and means I can Work from home...which is good!!
I think I Potted around £2.90 last night....which isn't bad....Might have some more to Pot this Afternoon when I get home!!0 -
Hi everyone! Thank you all so very much indeed for your Birthday greetings, I so appreciate them, as they'll live on long after the day itself. We had a wonderful day with hubby & I having a delicious lunch out together (he is THE BEST!
) , then in the evening it was family time and, as ever, it's so good to see them. I've now got gifts galore and memories to cherish.
Baby_Angel wrote:Haven't been posting on this thread recently and neither am I potting regularly. At least the pot is still sealed and untouched. Had a stray £1 in one of my old bags and potted it yesterday.
It is amazing how cautious you are when you are spending with cash. DH is the one who does the shopping and now that he uses only cash, there is so much money left over (though cupboards/fridge is filled sparingly :rotfl:). But I don't get to pot the change. Will have to find more innovative ways to find change. DH found some roadkill (£2.75) at his workplace. Maybe I should coax him up to pot the whole lot.
Just a thought, Baby Angel, but why not give your DH the pot and suggest he fills it and surprises you both in November. Preferably, why not ask for the reigns with the cash! Good luck to you, I hope you get the chance to at least save some cash.
No apology necessary, Lizzie, honestly. All the best in filling pot 2!!
A very Happy belated Anniversary, Lynne!Wishing you very happy retirement, IF that's what you decide is best. Wait and see how you feel after the holiday is over. If you do stick to retirement then I sincerely hope you have a long and happy one together!
Great saving, Donna!Dragon_Lily wrote:Thanks for the reminder Sue-UU re looking in our pots.
I must say it is tempting to think about how much is in my pot. Fortunately, it is really sealed! - "Keep calm and keep saving" - title of my pot! I know myself and I would have had a look by now if I could get into it:rotfl: Tbh it makes me more motivated to save when I have no idea how much is in the pot.
You've got the idea, Dragon Lily, so stay motivated and keep going as you're talking about above and you can't go far wrong.Daddybear85 wrote:Cheers sueuu and dragon lily. Decided I'm gonna do a bit of everything as I have put a lot into my savings this month, so gonna treat em a bit as well. Broke one of my pots today (not on purpose) so had a count up £75 not bad seeing as that's the pot I use least. Can I put that in my signature?
Do you mean you've taken the £75 out to spend.....or to bank, Daddybear? If you've banked or spent it then, yes, pop to on your siggy. or if you've not spent it, why not put it back in your pot and keep the savings going?
I'm so pleased to hear your news, Modesty, fingers crossed it remains that way!
Yes, Lynsey, it was Caz's Birthday as well, she's my twin you see!
There's certainly a whoop from me, Westie! :j Great saving.....so far!!!
Have a great Friday, SPCers and a really WONDERFUL WEEKEND! :j Keep on saving, you won't regret it!
