mummytummy wrote: »safe and sound thank you Sue-UU, we have had a few bushfires and I have been detoured a couple of times going to or coming from work, quite scary when you see how quick they flare up, the fire services and helicopter pilots are amazing and alot are volunteers who risk their lives, the smell of smoke can carry for miles. We had one really close to home last february where we had to evacuate the area and watched from a distance...

Evening everyone, just a quick one for today. I hope you're all well and our Scottish and Northern family members are keeping WARM!!!!!!grassgirl wrote:Been raiding the pot, paid now so all back to normal!
I appreciate you probably had problems, grassgirl, but to ensure you don't need to raid your pot again (how does anyone raid a sealed pot??) have a look at the 1st post on page 1 and how a "holding pot" works, it may be just what you need.
Just the ticket in passing your weekly target, shangaijimmy!!
Good potting, Frogletina!scotmumof3 wrote:Sue I use this recipe for my veg and noodle soup ;
Fry 1 chopped onion, 1 garlic clove crushed and 1 red chilli deseeded and finely chopped in a tbsp of sesame oil for 5 mins.
Add 1 large cubed carrot, 7oz of frozen peas, 7oz frozen sweetcorn and 1 1/2 pints of vegetable stock. Simmer for 5 mins then add 2 packets of super noodles (I normally use Tesc* value ones) but DON'T add the flavour sachet. Simmer for 5 mins then add a teaspoon of dried coriander, salt and pepper. Serves 4. If it is too thick you can add more veg stock til it suits your taste.
scotmumof3 that's marvellous and sounds delicious!!! :j Thank you so very much indeed for the recipe, we're both now really looking forward to tasting it!! Many thanks and a gold star for helping out. :staradmin I hope others take advantage too.
Thanks so much, Lynne, I've just finished the last antibod today, so I'm staying more hopeful this time round. I've also finished the steroids but have been warned that if the asthma plays up again I've to get in touch and they'll supply some more. Fingers crossed!
I know so many people hate thunder and lightening storms, but I LOVE em!!!! They give me a huge buzz. :j

It was shopping day today so a nice healthy potting day.
I put 2x £1 in the £ tin and £1.21 in the change jar, giving a total of £3.21.
Not planning on spending money again until later in the week so will probably be a quiet few days on the potting front.

Last day of my financial week and I have potted £5.59.
I was sure it was going to be more than that, I seem to have mislaid a ten pound note. I hope it is not more borrowing.
