  • Went for swimming with DH and DD at our Leisure centre today. We should have paid £5.30 for both of them. I am a member and the friendly manager just let us in. I see and greet her often when I am there and she knew I was a regular. Thanks to her I potted the £5.30.

Evening potters, or is it morning? I have still been doing a bit of potting but only bits here and there because I haven't been spending much. Had a walk to our closest shopping town today and DH bought a mini hifi and some new speakers for our home gym. It used to be a garage, then an office when we were both studying and now it's a gym. It has DAB radio on it and he has discovered Absolute 80s. He is in his element, singing along!

I have been doing some ebay selling. Had some great sales so far, with two items selling for way more than I expected. I put a Buy-it-now on one of the items, thinking the price was really cheeky and someone bought it on Friday, much to my surprise. I'll pot half of the money and keep the rest in my account so there should be some major potting to come later this month.

There seem to be some poorly snuffly people on here. I hope you all get better quickly.

    Night all.

DH potted £4.50 this morning! He had to clarify what went in the pot. I resisted saying "everything" as he was about to buy a newspaper! :o However, at least we're potting away!

Well, house is still in chaos, but the first bedroom has been painted and carpetted, second has been painted and was meant to be carpetted tomorrow, but the carpet hasn't arrived from the warehouse to local supplier.I am hoping it will now be Tue or Wed because I am off work those days,so easier to arrange delivery (without, when they ask "what is a good time to deliver?",saying "Well,I am home until 3pm,then I need to go out and collect kids from school, get back about 4,then home until 4.30pm,then not back til........")
I have spent 3 hours today clearing floorspace in the front room. Now going to do abit more sorting in bedrooms.Younger children(8 and 5) are still climbing over an otterman to get in and out of their room.Nightmare for me when trying to put them in bed at night, and checking them again as I go to bed.OH doesn't even try.He just stands in the hallway and tells them what they should be doing as they get ready for bed.Like trying to herd cats :rotfl:.
When I can face climbing the [STRIKE]mountain of carp[/STRIKE] stairs,I will do some serious potting.
For a start, there will be £6.74,including only about my third £2 coin since November, and 4 £1 coins. That has all been living in my dressing gown pocket for about a fortnight.
Also a £5 note, change previously forgotten by OH,left on kitchen bench despite constant reminders.
So total so far today is £11.74.I think there will be some more when I clean the kitchen later-seems to be afew piles of change sitting around because I can't find my "budget book" to write down what I have spent.Only got my bundles of change to remind me
