Good Evening everyone and thank you for the lovely welcome.
Had a lovely day today, as we visited the local Christmas market, but didn't buy anything except a coffee;)
DH bought me a scratchcard and I have won £10 which will go straight into my pot, so a great day.
This thread is so inspirational thanks to everyone.:ASPC 11 #4450 -

A very warm welcome, Tink_04 and N6CNH. It's lovely to have you both with us. :grinheart Enjoy yourselves saving, posting and joining in the banter. You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on the 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps. Can I please join for 2015? can I ask also do people have separate pots? like a £2 on a silver then a copper one? just the copper fills up quite quickly I find x
As mossy says, Tink, we all have different way of saving; I have a pot for each denomination, yes, quite a collection in our house!Do what feels best for you for now, you can always add to your pots later, though a lot depends on how much you save and how soon you bank any of your savings. Food for thought.

I'm going to go for £1200 as a target please. That's 2 months extra mortgage or a nice holiday I can't decide which yet
Edit: I should also ask, do people find it better knowing there total or not knowing, I am scared if I know then I will be more likely to spend it. Thanks!!
Hi N6CNH, most of us prefer not to know and have a surprise at the end of the challenge. If you think that by knowing it might tempt you to spend - leave it as a surprise...then spend at the end!!Now's your chance to save and have money, take it!!
Many thanks for the lovely welcomes, mossy, you too Lucy, here is a golden star for you both - don't snatch mind!!:staradmin:staradmin
Don't ask why, Saver-upper, but I thought there was going to be a punch line at the end of that lot. Ah well, at least you got the pots you wanted...not that you were fussy.... :rotfl: Enjoy them and save as quick as you can so it sounds better when there's "chinks" rather than "clunks"! :grinheart
You're saving in just the right way, scotmumof3, keep budgeting well and you can save more.mossy wrote:Feeling like an excited kid...can't wait to find out the SPC7 total!! :snow_grin
Just as soon as I'm able I'll be putting it on, mossy, but as normal, folk are late declaring. Still, I'll tell you this much...I'm happy with the Total so far! :j I'm so happy you've been able to get a new :xmastree: and decorations with your savings, brilliant news!
A shame you couldn't find anything when shopping, 32b3, but it's far better off gracing your pot now isn't it!!

....to catch up where and why, Lucy? Is our company not enough for you? Puh. :cool:EverTheOptimist wrote:Ok so I told a little white lie earlier,I did go out, but only used my cards and not cash, so still nothing to pot.
Better luck next time, ETO, try to use your cash...or your charm!
Great news, wealthygirl, and well done with the win!!! :T
It's a pleasure, Magsnoodle. Good to know you've started saving again!
Excellent work, bubbs!!!Sue x
