  • Morning everyone.

Right start as I mean to go on, (with posting) so posting to say hi, as I have nothing to pot yet. No spends yesterday as little man is under the weather. Will try and pop out this afternoon for some birthday pressies for hubby so hopefully some change to pot then.

Not really sure on how to approach this challenge this year as I don't have many pennies spare each month. I work part time and almost every penny is accounted for.

I 'think' I shall withdraw £10 for my weekly ad hoc spends and whatever I have left at the weekend I shall pot. I've previously potted on a daily basis then spent more because I needed to take more money out of the bank so kind of defeats the object.

    Anyway enough of my ramblings.

Wowsers to Sparky's total. :T :T Sue please pass on our very best wishes to Mr and Mrs Sparky.

 Good evening, I have been reading and lurking on and off over the last year, and would love to join in please as I would love to have some money to spend at Christmas next year instead of trying to scrape together enough to spend on a few goodies and presents.

I have already been saving some £2 and 20ps lately and am starting my pot with £32.11, so I hope to be able to keep this up.

I would like to say a big well done to everyone for their fabulous totals this year its a huge inspiration to me that it can be done.:)

A lovely welcome, Lynne, a gold star's well deserved! :staradmin I will indeed pass on your message to sparky (and say one myself) though I'm hoping he'll remember his password and be able to see the messages himself.

    Well spotted and potted, hummingbird!

I've read your post, Saver-upper, and got the gist, so when you do get the money you mean you'll pot it for next year right? Give me a shout if it's any different, and keep up the goldies!!! ;)

Hello LC 2 (luckycharlie) - it's wonderful to see you back again, though sticking with us a little more would be good!!!!!! :dance:I thought you'd gone, honest!

Morning ETO, I do hope your little treasure is soon feeling much better, a {{{hug}} with him for me please. Don't concern yourself too much with how you go about potting or it may become a drudge, and we don't want that! Whatever's best with you each week then that's the answer...and keep posting! I just don't want my Reminder Thread angel (thank you sooooooo much for ALL you do on them!, you're an :A) getting rattled by it all. BTW, you never ramble! Yes, I'll pass your wishes on to sparky and J too.

  • Morning Everyone....

I haven't got anything to Pot today but I wanted to pop on to a big "Thank You" to Everyone for all your lovely words and thoughts....It really IS very much appreciated...

I went for my Blood Test yesterday and kind of fell apart as I realised WHY I was going for my Blood Test....and then sort of hibernated for the rest of the day and wallowed for a little while...

BUT...NO MORE wallowing today....Today I AM going to be strong and remember what I said before - There is nothing to worry about until there is something to worry about!!

So, today I'm Working from home and going to keep busy...

WELL DONE Sparky on your AMAZING total....and I hope Mrs Sparky feels MUCH better VERY soon....

    Catch you ALL later xXx

.....and there may well be nothing to worry about, in which case you'll have been worrying for nowt.

Morning Helen, and I'm so pleased you're handling it pretty well, though I believe all of us understand all too well why you fell apart a little.

Keep busy, keep potting and.....above all keep smiling. :grinheart

    {{{Hugs}}} for Helen!

  • Aww,can't pot at the moment_I haven't got a pot .
Tomorrow I will go to the bank with my pottage from the last challenge, and buy a few tins.
For SPC7 I had a pot for gold coins, and another for the other coins.I think this year I will collect £2 in their very own house :D.So three tins it is then.
Last week I emailed Pinecone telling them I would like to be paid into Paypal (which I had opened up specially). They emailed saying roughly "thank you for registering for payment into Paypal, please allow a few days".I sort of assumed that meant it was being done for me,and I hoped the £70 I am owed would be available for potting in SPC7.
Tonight I realised they meant I was to allow a few days for them to register me to receive Paypal payments.I STILL needed to transfer the points/money myself. So I did that tonight, and it should be available for me to access/pot soon.
I have no target for SPC8,except to exceed my SPC7 total.

I don't either using a decorated pringle pot with a hole in the top lol

Afternoon all and all very jolly it seems. lol

Welcome to more and more new potters - the very best wishes with your savings. A great time to join and get the maximum benefit.

WOW, well done Sparky, a fantastic total. Enjoy spending that. It was the likes of Sparky who pushed me to go for that £1000 (4 figures) challenge, so thanks for that.
Wishes to Sparky and Mrs Sparky.

Nothing potted today yet (all card payments), but will hopefully get a £1 or two later.

Ok, EMMAP, your Target's updated, good luck with reaching it...or getting more! ;)

Afternoon Lynsey, didn't sparky do well!! :D Fingers crossed for later pottings for you.

Good saving, moohound, for short man too - he's got more than I have!!!!

I've earned us 5p today...so our neighbour could park his car in front of our house the lane's being patchworked). He said "I'll pay you" :rotfl: I said "Ah, but how much?" He puts his hand in his pocket, comes out with 5p and puts it in my hand - so I took it!!!!!! :rotfl: We had a good laugh (we get on great with them) and I potted it after we'd finished chatting. A lot better than nowt than a slap in the eye with a wet sock!
