£1 potted today *listens to the satisfying chink as it falls on the pile of cash already in there* No spends so according to Nixy's rules I have to feed the pot a shiny squid nug!
My 20 YO son is at University and his room is empty........he has a binoculars case half full of change just sitting doing nothing..... NOTHING...... on his desk........ I am being a very norty mum and casting covetous eyes at it. I won't touch it. However, I am going to instigate a rule that when he comes home if I find anything on the floor then it's MINE! Might make him pick stuff up for a change

In case it helps anyone - some banks have a paying in machine that you can just tip all your coinage in and pay it straight into your account. mine is natwest but I think hsbc have them too!
The royal bank of Scotland has them as wellDebt free as of 29.10.2020 🎉😁

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.engineer_amy wrote: »Can i ask a wee question on the rules please - i wouldnt want to inadvertantly "cheat" if its something that the rest of u dont do.
I get a little bit of cashback from topcashback, maybe around £10 three or four times a year. It is paid into my account. Can i put this cash into my tin?
Hi Amy, I've now put a note about money received from cashback sites being fine to be potted on the 1st page. I thought I'd already done so - wrong there!
Thanks a lot for answering Amy so promptly about cashback sites, Saver-upper, a great help and deserves a gold star. :staradminMagsnoodle wrote: »I've banked the £119 into my account from what I saved last year and now started this years pot.... £1.49 potted for this week. Need to pay more attention to this in 2015 though - delighted with how much I managed to save.
Maybe so, Magsnoodle, but as you say, you really did so well, but IF you can do better it'll make a huge difference to you next year, go for it!
From what I've heard over the last couple of weeks, 166million, I think most banks do the same. Ah well, we can't know it all now can we!However, I am going to instigate a rule that when he comes home if I find anything on the floor then it's MINE! Might make him pick stuff up for a change
That's fair enough, Nix, and within many other SPCers rules too, after all we don't want discarded cash breaking our hoovers!
A very good beginning, pinkladyvenus!Sue x
