I don't either using a decorated pringle pot with a hole in the top lol
Snap! I started using a pringles tin. I had some very fancy very expensive wrapping paper left over, so wrapped up the tin and left a hole at top. All sealed so i wont be tempted to peek!Mortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190 -

Another £2.20 for the tin. The coin sound so lonely until they make it all the way across the bottom.....I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Right. This morning I banked SPC7 funds (took about 20 minutes to be checked
).I also got three new pots.I had to try a couple of different shops-the first one I went to didn't have a big variety of patterns, and all except 2 of the cans on the shelf were dented .
I was looking for a jelly-bean pot and a cupcakes pot,so at least that's 2 pots I could remember what coinage goes in from SPC7.Only found a cupcakes pot,so I have designated:
Cupcakes pot for £1 coins(cos I will remember that-same as last year
Minions (Despicable Me) pot for £2 coins(cos they are both yellow and bright)
Retro-sweets pot for all-sorts of other coins.
So,tonight I had to put something in each pot:
a coin each in cupcakes and minions pot,and £3.40 of 10p pieces (found already bagged up,as if I had previously been trying to fill it to bank).
So,first pot for SPC8 was £6.40 :j.But don't the coins fall for aaaaaaagggges before hitting the bottom of the tin??
Looks like it is going to be a lovely busy challenge, this one-welcome to all the newbies .SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Hi Tink, welcome to SPC8!! :santa2:
Everyone pots their money differently. As you probably saw from Saver-upper, they have different pots for different coins. I just have one big pot which I bung everything in to. Some people even have pots that count the total as you pot!
Hope everyone is well. Good to hear from Sparky. Feeling very Christmassy in the Mossy household!! :xmastree: Bought some new Christmas tree lights today and a few decorations for the tree thanks to my SPC7 money!! :rudolf: Just waiting to get the :xmastree: Mr Mossy says we can pick one next weekend!! :T
Feeling like an excited kid...can't wait to find out the SPC7 total!! :snow_grinSaving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
Hi Everyone,
I'd love to join please!
Having read through the comments on this thread I'm dead excited and in the process of rummaging for a collecting tin / jar.
I'm going to go for £1200 as a target please. That's 2 months extra mortgage or a nice holiday I can't decide which yet
Thanks!
Looking forward to 2015 now :j
Edit: I should also ask, do people find it better knowing there total or not knowing, I am scared if I know then I will be more likely to spend it. Thanks!!0 -
